Probably not, like DMelt says you don't need to be a team of goons either to win.

The problem is the Hawks don't have enough skill, if Hossa is out for awhile and he doesn't return to his normal self early in the season, I think there will be major moves made too early in the season.

Whoa. Not enough skill? Ugh. That's not right. They are missing size and willingness to do the tough things in tough areas aka sack. They cannot continue to solely rely on one guy to do it all.

and one more dumb mistake & he'll be outta the NHL.

Well, he probably could see a monster (20ish) gamer if he goes headhunting. With that, I'll agree that it's not in the team's best interest to hitch their wagon on him. At least this team does have Shaw...who practically needs to leap to actually hit a NHLer's head. How he actually connected with Smith's noggin has me scratching mine .

That's what scares me with CarBomb. Guy is a talented hockey player but does just too much dumb shit.

This team needs a heavy hitter. Brouwer was the guy on those previous teams. Last season we didn't have much of that. We need the Clutterbuck type of guy

My God, that is one steaming pile of shit article.

Grit, sandpaper, toughness? That's why the Hawks have exited the playoffs two years in a row?

How about the awful defense? How about the terrible special teams? How about the lack of clutch saves in key moments? How about the lack of scoring depth?

I believe there's plenty of "toughness" on this Hawks team. That isn't the problem.

I'm with ya guys that they could definitely use another big, physical player on the team, although I think that's a bigger need on the defense than it is at forward. "Toughness" doesn't move a player out of the crease. A big body does that. "Toughness" doesn't screen a goalie on the power play. A big body does that.

But having that kind of size and having some skill with it? Not easy to find.

And Carcillo in the top-6 is just wrong. Don't know if that's Jesse's opinion or something from his "sources" but it's just a bad idea.

Yes. That is a steaming pile article.

Although Jesse doesn't need sources. Carcillo played some in the top 6 last season and looked good.

There's gotta be a better option for the top 6 than Carcillo.
