they struggled against Memphis last year aswell and maybe thats what im misremembering

i remember KD was having a terrible series shooting...Tony Allen locked him down
Memphis matches up VERY well with them. I knew that was going to be a tough 7 game series for OKC.. and it was. I honestly thought OKC was going to lose that series in the first.

LOL @ all this fear over the Perkins signing. Perkins has been washed up for over 2 seasons now. He's atrocious offensively and he's a shell of himself defensively. Anyone who's watched any OKC games over the past 2 years knows this. All he's good for now is occasionally laying some wood on some people & 6 fouls.

Perkins has been washed up for years now. I'm glad the Bulls didn't sign him.

I am also. He isn't what they need. They need some skill coming in fro the bench.

In the last few games, I have noticed a lot of just standing around watching among the Bulls. Then someone sees that the shot clock is around 8 seconds and someone takes it on themselves to throw something up. I put a lot of this shit on Rose and Butler. They are the fucking back court and they have to get the offense rolling. Rose looks fucking clueless out there in terms of setting anything up for anyone else.

How is it Rose's fault that other players are not moving w/o the ball? It's absolutely absurd to blame him one moment for this, and then blame him for not dishing the ball and being selfish the next! :dunno:

No, it still is up to the back court guys to run the offense. And if the other guys are not moving, then the damn leader of the team has got to yell at them. Who is the leader of the team on the floor if not Rose? Frankly, the guy is MIA out there way too often. Hell, he has his damn back turned a lot of the time when other players are going through their picks and screens. IT pisses me off. I'm not saying that Rose is being selfish. Not at all. I am saying that he is not being a leader. Between him not leading and watching Gasol walk back down the court after a turnover or change of ball possession it pisses me off.

What do the Bulls have to do to make them dead to you as well? Start Hinrich?

What's the matter Gus? Don't like me criticizing another Chicago player? Are you in Cutler and Rose's possies? Poor baby.

I don't see any of that really. Rose is pretty vocal out there on offense, directing players where they need to go. Also, more than 85% of the time the team is running set plays. Maybe it's Butler and Rose waiting for the screen & curl plays to develop that you are talking about? :dunno: Other than that, there's not a ton of standing around out there that I see.

Let's be honest here. Offense is NOT THE PROBLEM with the team. It has been defense all year, particulary opponent's rebounds. We're 9th in offense at 102ppg. I'd say it's working pretty well. Defense is in the middle of the pack (13th). I'm surprised you aren't complaining about that instead.

If we played a little better defense (maybe get up to 10th instead of 13th) and stopped giving up so many dang offensive rebounds, we would all be singing a different tune.

Well a big part of that is that the Bulls are also missing a lot of shots on offense, creating more defensive rebounds as well, and gives the other team more possessions. Obviously O-Rebs give other teams more possessions too which has been a problem all year as well.

Given history, this team does need to find a way to get into the top 10 defensively for them to have a chance IMO. Unless playing lackadaisical was all an act to step it up in the playoffs lol.

What if the whole regular season is an act and this team will just lock down opponents in the playoffs and grab all the defensive rebounds?

That would be amazing. It would put them on par with the 2001 Lakers.

I guess that I am totally blind then. That 2nd half of the Suns game didn't happen with the starters standing around on offense, huh? gasol and Rose were just oh so good and they didn't need Brooks and company to bail their asses out only to almost give the game away at the end.

What I am saying, folks, is try to be a bit objective about your team which some of you are not.
