Haha I hear you there...truthfully I am not looking to get bulky like that. Thin is in...lol For me it is more about getting leaner, more vascular, stronger and more flexible. Trying to reduce the effects of aging with the tools at my disposal. Diet, exercise, stretching, meditation.

When I was younger I was more about bulking up in the winter and leaning out in the summer and trying to grow and put on mass...really just found I was getting a little chubbier year after year...wasn't the way I wanted to feel or look.

I just turned 40 two months ago and I'm in exactly the same place. Far more interested in core strength, flexibility, health and fitness now than I am into being jacked.

I'm 6'5 220 dawg. Like vince, I'm going for solid, lean strength more than bulk, because **** that kind of commitment. I hate working out as is, but such is life. I'd much rather spend my down time with a bottle of jack.

All you bros need is a chainsaw, an axe and plenty of trees to cut down. Nobody needs the gym.

Work out with trainer 3 x per week in the winter. 2 x per week when I'm golfing as I usually walk and get some exercise that way. Found out years ago that if I don't have an appointment, I just won't go to the gym.

It sounds so simple but I track my progress and make sure each workout has some sort of progressive overload. 4 day splits working each body part once a week. For me, it's not really about how strong I am, but instead getting bigger muscles.

Go with a buddy...cheaper then paying a trainer and keeps you disciplined because when you don't want to go your friend usually will want to go and visa versa..helps to ensure that you go to the gym more often then not (unless the friend you choose to work out with is lazy and doesnt like the gym)
