I just saw the weather forecast for tomorrow night, wind blowing out with sustained 20 mph speeds with 35 mph gusts.
Yes. Cantore on TWC was talking about this and couldn't stop talking about Schwarber. LOL.

Cantore is a ******. Comes into my bar and hits on all of the staff and none of them ever go for him. Then he'll find something to complain about. Can't stand the guy

wow, if Schwarber gets 6 hits and 6 RBi in Wrigley, he is the MVP of the world series. Its great if they clear him to play the field, but if its sloppy out there, I really doubt they play him. They sat Soler when the grass was wet.

That's funny, some of his on scene weather reports are ridiculous how he tries to get in the way of extreme weather and over dramatize the danger he is facing.

The Indians can look forward to the Hendricks-Montgomery-Chapman trio tomorrow night. That will not be fun for them. I don't know if anyone in the Indians lineup can catch up to Chapman. I mean, hardly anyone in the league can....but the Indians especially don't seem to have guys with the bat speed to hit him.

A couple of things from this thread, someone brought up Montgomery starting next year. I brought that up as soon as we traded for him. I was pretty positive he was going to be a swing man/LOOGY for us this year and in the off season let Bosio work to fix his inconsistencies and put him back as a starter. I always thought the Mariners were a good trade target for this. I thought maybe James Paxton, but they went the cheaper route with Volgy for Montgomery. Montgomery was a highly touted prospect and you can see that he has some potential. I thought he was that "diamond in the rough" type get for the Cubs this year.

Im not positive, but I thought I read that shortening the season is going to be on the table in the new CBA. they were talking about dropping games because of the length. Manfred is kind of a wildcard because he flip flops from old school to new school to wanting shifts gone to wanting the DH. Its going to be interesting what he can push.

Game 3 is a big swing game like we all know. The Indians are not near as good on the road. They especially do not hit well on the road. This was true in the regular season and it has carried into the post season. Its a pretty significant gap. The NL rules def. favor us now because Francona isnt going to be able to give the ball to Miller for 3 innings without sacrificing at the plate. The game plan is simple. Score early and make them come back. Also, I believe the Indians bullpen is feeling the effects of over use. Francona has rode them hard. We are in great shape. Game 3 is all they are focusing on.

Yea, I would expect a combo of Strop Wood Chapman in the later innings. I think Joe may have lost faith in Rondon. He clearly has an issue. All his pitches are flat and I dont the explosion anymore.

Rondon lost it about the time Chapman became the man. It's likely a mental issue.

That happens a lot and is understandable actually. So much of being a late inning reliever is mental and when your role suddenly changes it's tough. It's manifested in a decided lack of movement on some of Rondon's pitches. He'll be better next year if he competes for that role again. Who knows who the closer will be though. I'd like to see them pursue Jansen over resigning Chapman myself but I don't want to get too far ahead.

Needs to be done. There's no way baseball should have any games scheduled to play in October.

Cubs got to take Game 3, especially with Kluber looming. I know a lot of people are comparing him to Kershaw, but Kluber has been outright dominant during this postseason stretch. Kershaw was getting too much hype for how shitty he was outside of Game 2 against the Cubs. Looked like that was more of an outlier than anything. I'd rather the Cubs didn't have a must win game against Cleveland's ace.

As for the BP, they've had quite a few off days during this run. Miller will be on two days rest now, and if Francona wants him to pitch 2-3 innings, he always has the double switch.

It couldn't be worse than seeing another 2nd half flame out from Hammel.

Making a stab at Rich Hill would be another direction. Would be weird to see him back in a Cubs uni
Next series I hope they clear Schwarber to play left. Would be awesome to see Schwarber getting more AB's than a PH per game. Zo in RF would kill the RF drought.

But I get it if the Doc don't clear him. His injury is more at risk to lateral movement. Don't want to lose him again.

Agreed. Chapman already turned down Theo's offer of 4 years, $60M. His 100 mph speed wont last and we are already seeing a number of his fastballs under 100 mph. Halfway through his contract expect him to be 97mph with zero ball movement and very hitabable. Rather go after Jansen

But didn't that guy last night say they were "crushing" the Cubs?

The Cubs couldn't string together consistent hits in game 1, plus left the bases loaded with 0 outs.
This should be a 2-0 Chicago lead going into Cleveland, but the Cubs also should've scored 10+ last night. Baez wanted to crush every ball pitched at him.

Regardless, this series will probably end very soon. I still think Cleveland won their only game of the series.
I think the Cubs win the next 3 games.

Tomlin has a ridiculously high fly ball ratio. I think the Cubs will hit a few homers tomorrow
