Says the guy who is not privy to how Chapman is feeling while second guessing the guy who talked to him all day.

How a pitcher says he feels means little.

But I think he's using him only to finish the 7th. A page from the Francona/Miller book.

Blame the bats for needing Chapman here
Needed a couple more add one to keep Chapman on bench

Hopefully they can do that in 8th

I blame Arrieta more. He had everything set up for him and still couldn't go deep.

wont need chapman tomm. Hendricks goes 7 scoreless. Mixed relievers in 8th. Lester closes it out.

It's all good - as long as Joe is using him in the high leverage situation, and no more.

And he may have to take him out now if he turned that foot a little. But it should be OK tomorrow- didn't look too major. (Though I didn't ask Chapman how he feels.)

Hope if we get to game 7, we don't have a spot to need Chapman...

That was my point earlier tonight that was completely missed. Joe will not let a starter go deep. He's a little too quick with the trigger lately.

This

Sitting on 7 for 2 hours

I really was hoping for a rizzo bunt last inning 1st 2nd nobody out....could be a hit worst case a sac.....then zobrist has a huse chance for a run....6 run lead keeps chapman seated another inning

There's the run. Get him in.

Javy bomb takes any remaining pressure off.

Hasn't anyone been watching playoffs? This has been going on for awhile. Why hold your closer till the other team ties it or gets close...bring him to let it never get to that. Francona has been doing it with Miller the whole playoffs.

They're trying to walk our automatic out, and he not only won't let them, but grounds into a DP.

I think I let Chapman pitch the 8th and if its still 5 runs, you go Strop or Edwards in the 9th.
