Apparently it's supposed to be earthquake and typhoon proof. Another thing I read said it could take a hit from a 300,000-ton vessel. For comparisons sake, the largest cruise ship in existence is Royal's Oasis of the Seas. That comes in at about 225,000 tons.

So nothing can possibly go wrong with it? That worked out real well for the Titanic.

actually they are cyclones

but they are called different shit regionally

yeah, this was the definition of typhoon on dictionary.com

"a tropical cyclone or hurricane of the western Pacific area and the china seas."

So I guess they do call it a typhoon in China.

either way, I wonder if it can survive one

Come on now, I'm just telling you what the article I read said about it.

My car is made of about 85% German parts and I avoid things "Made in China" like the plague. **** those assholes.

As a person of Chinese heritage, I take offense to that statement. :troll:

I've driven on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway before. I think that's like 23 miles long or so. Sort of a weird feeling to be out in the middle of the water on a bridge.

I was on that the other day when I went down to New Orleans for a family get together for my GF. It took like 30 minutes to get across.
