No defense guy at all.

I want Johnson. I know this will get boo’s, but I’m starting to think McCarthy might be a decent alternative hire. With the right personnel the WC offense he mainly runs is still very effective. I think the Bears have guys that fit that style in Rome, DJ, and just find the good fit RB.

The only thing is who he would bring in as DC. That goes for Johnson as well as I think this team will still need to lean on its defense initially while any offensive scheme is being developed.

David Shaw, and I've been a big fan and supporter of his. He hasn't had any meaningful coaching in a couple of years, and those last few years at Stanford were not great. Again, I'm a big fan of his so I don't say this lightly.

That said: I'd love for him to be involved in the organization in some form or fashion.
I don't think Shaw is interviewing for Head Coach.

This is Poles trying to stage a palace coup and install Shaw in Warren's role.

I'd be weary of Brady. I don't think he is even close to ready yet to be a H.C.

Gimmie Mike McCarthy.
Stop bringing in “highly praised” coordinators. We’re not gonna find the next Dan Campbell or Sean Mcvay or McDermott. We will probably never be a “dynasty” and our playoff windows open and close faster than my wife’s legs. Let alone the thought of a Super Bowl year! We’re mocked and belittled as a fan of the Bears.

Set aside the negative rant, I want to see a Super Bowl winning head coach. I want to see a head coach with a .600+ winning record. For fucks sake the last 3-4 head coaches we’ve had haven’t even had those numbers combined! I’ll gladly take a winning record and playoff contenders (and even lose in the wildcard!) for a few years than have single digit winning seasons for almost the last decade!

Easily the worst coach candidate this hiring cycle is Spagnuolo.

It's pretty hard to argue with much of this. This team needs to learn how to walk before it can run.
They are currently at the Forest Gump pre leg braces stage, yet people want to have magic legs overnight.
MM does bring quite a few things that their typical entry level HC hire cannot,
Instant respect in the locker room, a top-notch coaching staff and I would assume strong knowledge of quality scouts to bring in.
The biggest gain would be the clout which he would receive to help dopey Poles construct a quality roster.
Ah, but most likely on to yet another first time HC and all of the trials and tribulations associated with that.
