And continue starting a 37 year old catcher batting 0.083 instead of a 25 year old batting 0.274 what a joke of a team

Is 120 losses in a season still the record? Might be something for me to follow. :speechless:

Since 1901. A now defunct team in the NL called the Cleveland Spiders lost about 140 games in 1899, but the 1962 Mets still hold the modern day record with 120. Of course, if the Sox tie or break that record they don't even have the slightest chance to get the 1st pick of next year's draft. Until the asshole Reinsdorfs sell, I see no reason to follow this woebegone franchise or care about it one iota.

Thanks for the info....I love trivia history like this....yea.. I remember that '62 team, that's why I brought up that 120 number....if I'm not mistaken the Houston Colt .45s ended in 8th place ( out of 10 ) ahead of the Cubs. Man,..... the Cubs were really bad back then.
