Would the Bears be better off with Sanquan instead of Swift

Had a couple people questioning a Barkley signing in my mock off-season but not only did Poles go after him, he pivoted to Swift showing that Poles did place a value on RB that others questioned.

We've seen Swift break runs. We've also see him miss holes and run into his blockers' backs.

Barkley is a better RB in every way: speed, quickness, elusiveness, vision. It's not even a question that we'd be better with Barkley than Swift.

Barkley definitely above Swift. The only issue Barkley has had over the years is injuries, one major one and some smaller. This is also his 7th year.

But Barkley seems stronger and healthier than ever, at least for now.

Yep, swift and barkley are not in the same league of player.

Also, the bears could have drastically overpaid for saquan(15m a year vs. 12 for the iggles) and he prob still chooses philly.

We really dont know what the bears offered, maybe it was the similar 12m and he knew 100% he had a better chance in Philly. Would be sad to know $$ was the main factor and poles was too cheap to dish out the extra 4m for Barkley vs. Gibbs

Barkley is putting up a performance this year that will earn MVP votes. I would say that that is a strong yes, this team would be better off with him.

Kinda dumb question because of course any team would be better with the better RB but Saquan wouldn't be Saquaning on this team with this OL either. He'd of course still be better than Swift, who's still a good 3 down RB, but would he be giving everything playing on this team like he is playing behind a top 3 OL in the NFL and dealing with everything else that comes with this team as well, and we'd be paying him over $13 mil as well.

This isn’t true. Poles basically set the market for Barkley but Barkley wanted to go home.

What would this team look like with Barkley?

It was alluded to on the Giants’ Hard Knocks that the Bears were setting the market for Barkley. Obviously, Swift was plan b. How much better is this team if Barkley had accepted Poles’ offer?
