Would you be feeling better or worst if Poles got the bears one of these two players from the Carolina in the trade for #one rather than instead of D

J Moore?

It's says here he literally asked for Jaycee Horn and Burns too as well and they came back with Moore which obviously was the deal that made the trade happen so what would your feelings be if Panthers had given up one of the two other players asked for and bonus question what if they gave up all three players and Poles took them for #1 but got no picks except for the Panthers #nine pick?

Both are valuable pieces ( young with potential and experience), but if it would have been Horn, I might have been a little disappointed if I had then found out Moore and Burns were the other options.

I think all three are worthy of a 2025 1st round pick, but I'm glad it was DJ, second choice would have been Burns then Horn

Teams allegedly offered 2 firsts for Burns so suspect if he was the choice Panthers would not have wanted to include a 2024 first.

Same. I wonder what the people who hate DJ Moore think? I'd guess they'd prefer Burns maybe? Does Burns have any WEAKNESSES in his game?

I think the Panthers were offering the higher second but once poles asked for the players that's when they comprised on the sf 2nd. Just my guess. This trade was even. Bears didnt run off like bandits on the trade value. Can't be angry or happy about it.

According to the Panthers website "Brian Burns posted a career-best 12.5 sacks in 2022, part of a Pro Bowl effort that also saw him set career highs in tackles (63), tackles for loss (17) and QB hits (22). Burns now ranks sixth in franchise history with 38.0 career sacks."

Seems pretty well rounded to me, and he is 24 years old, the more I think about it...... he might have been the better player to land, but still like the trade..all of it.

I'm actually quite happy with getting those picks and DJ, the Bears made it pretty clear that they were interested in trading the pick and still managed to get a good haul.

Maybe we value DJ differently, that's ok. I hope that DJ and Fields find a way to click right away, then it will make Mooney and others more valuable too.

Not a good run defender.

We do NOT even need a defensive line dude look at what Khalil Mach and Robert Quinn brought to us? You think Brian Effing Burns was the answer? No! DJ Moore = $_$ ?

Burns' biggest weakness is that he is not a mid level #1 receiver to help the Bears see what they have in Fields, since there were no receivers worth much in free agency.

Yes, the no 1 priority is to surround Fields with offensive weapons so ,unlike last year, we can fairly evaluate him.

Now, add an elite OT and a OC in the draft, and let's see what happens...

To answer your first question, I'd feel worse. Horn woud be a nice piece in the Bears backfield but I'm not sure he would be an upgrade. Both Burns and Moore are upgrades but I think an edge rusher will be easier to find in this years draft. So I think Poles made the right choice.

Your second question is harder to answer. On one hand the draft picks are nice, especially for future flexibility. On the other; Moore, Horn, and Burns would be quite a haul. Truthfully I could go either way. (that's what she said)
