He's 33 and probably won't be asking more than a MLE.

He'd be a great back-up for Deng, he's smart, he can defend, can hit the 3, and can play minutes at the 2.

If we can't find a true scoring 2 guard, I would love to have Battier. He won't put us over the top, but I think we'd be a better team with him.

I'd love Battier - exactly for the reasons you mentioned. MLE, smart, defense, 3 ball.

Great addition but not what we need at the moment. If we were to find our 2guard and still add him i would be very very excited.

Supposedly the Bulls, Heat and Celtics [and of course MEM] have shown interest in him...

I'd love to take him before the Heat or Celtics get him. The least thing we need is to run into one of those teams in the playoffs just to face another guy who can help on Rose.

I wish were were able to add him and a 2 guard.

I fn hate the Heat. I wish players would think that they could get a ring with the Bulls, Celtics, Thunder, etc instead of colling around the lame 3

I feel like the Heat will throw money at him after amnestying Mike Miller. As if they needed more perimeter defense...:smh:

I'd take him just so Miami can't have him. Plus he's a guy that could take a lot of pressure off Deng and cut down his minutes. Although we already have Butler (Jimmy that is) and if he pans out to be good on defense he could do the same. OR we can get Battier to kind of tutor Butler for a year or two then when Battier starts to wear down Butler comes in and becomes the new Battier. Yeah...I like that...xD

I think the heat would try to focus more on upgrading at C and PG if possible. Maybe Tyson

Battier wouldn't hurt. He is a Thibs type of player. I don't think he would be affordable though. He kind of fits with Boston. I can see him going there before Chicago.

Chandler, Bosh, and Haslem (and Anthony if he ever saw the floor again) would be nasty defensive frontcourt. Between Chandler's defense and length and Bosh and Haslem's flopping, they'd somehow manage to shut down/foul out most other frontcourts.

i think if it was down to BOS or CHI, he'd pick us.

BOS is too old and will probably be rebuilding after this season.

Also, I would guess BOS would bring back Jeff green before they sign Battier

Apparently Jeff Green is being kept, but the Celts are listening to offers. But you never know.

I bet we would take anyone capable of starting for a playoff team, right now, to prevent them from going to Miami LOL. Battier has game though.

I see where you coming from with that. I just say Boston just because he is around the same age as their core players.

Which is the issue because Boston will be breaking up soon. They're already slowing down as it is.
