This is the first you've said best rookie OT. Best is much different than 12th and 20th.
7 sacks is not good. And don't forget we had the league leading sacks allowed!

I don't want steals. I'm not trying to save McCaskey money. Why are you worried about that of all things?
They have this much money to spend to run a football team. If they don't want to spend it sell the team and get out of the business.

Fields is NOT worth your wait and see approach. Unless you've already decided he's not worth it and this year's QBs weren't worth getting. That is the only way this makes any sense.
12th overall amount all rookies in the league is pretty fucking impressive.

Being a rookie and diminishing 20th out of 100+ tackles in the league is pretty good, add in the crazy competition he faced last season .

Finding value is key to a being successful long term. So yes, contracts matter even if it’s not our money. Why blow your load and draft capital on a 29 yr old tackle when you have someone that just had the best rookie season out of anyone playing the position. Oh and he’s cheap which opens money to park somewhere else with a bigger need. In the Bears current situation, trading forTunsil is a just plain dumb and the reason Poles won’t bite. #callingit

Apples and oranges comparisons are meaningless. That's why that saying exists. Why do I even need to explain that?

100??? So you're including backups? WTF??? I would hope our starter can beat out backups or we're really bad off.

I'm not saying trade for Tunsil at all. I'm saying do something. Spend some of that money to make Fields the QB so we don't have to blow 3 top picks next year unless that's already been decided needs to be done. That is the only way I can make "wait and see" as a starter make any sense. If that has already been decided we should be trying to trade Fields while he has value.
But 38 years of the same old shit is too long for me to think this is anything more than the same old shit again. Everything for defense, nothing for offense. Any GM who goes against that will get dropped quickly.

New rookies aren't going to cut it this year. Fields' clock is ticking. I don't care if you want to go get some old guy on a 1yr contract but do something before there is nothing left to do. Other teams are picking up the best options the longer we wait and those old guys will be the only solution left which we probably still won't go for.
