Would you make this trade?

Bears trade: 9, 53, 61

To Steelers for 17, 32, 49.

Think I first saw Greg Gabriel propose this.

I don’t think I would because at 17 there’s a good chance you’re missing out on the top 3 tackles in the draft. And getting a day 1 starter at OT is priority #1 for me with this draft.
I would wait to see who's still on the board and when each of the T's 1,2,3 go to decide

This seems to make perfect sense. No need to make this trade until bears are on the clock to see who is available.

17 could very likely be in range for a top tackle, and 32 would put them in top 1-3 center range. They could grab 3tech at the 49.

Pick 32 can get you back into the 20's in rd.1.

It would be nice to have higher 2nd round picks but i want at least one extra pick if i'm making a trade down from #9 to #17.

I'm all ion if we can get pick #80 added in that deal from Pitt.

We know you love second round picks based on how you fellated Adam Shaheen on here publicly even after he was not on the Bears and just before he was out of the league

I’ll personally be shocked if a top tackle makes it to 17.

Wouldn’t be the first time though. Guess that’s why the draft is fun.
Anton Harrison might be the best pass blocker from what I have read. Never watched him play or even bothered to look at analytics. He should be bottom of the 1st

You can find day 1 starters in the second round especially on the OL. I’d do that trade in a heartbeat. Poles likely could leverage trading down from 32 to pick up another 3rd/4th as well.

I do it cause it gives me 2 more picks in the top 50 and I know there's a lot of talent there and my team needs a lot of help.

Commanders need OT at 15 they're still starting Charles Leno at LT. I don't think Darnell Wright passes by them.
1 Washington is picking at #16.
2 I don't think if Poles trades down he is looking at any specific position, just the best player he has rated on his board at the time he picks. In the case of a second trade down Poles could and should be looking at any of the many needs the Bears have.

Not only this year but next year also because no matter what Poles does in this draft, he is not going to be able to patch every hole he has on this roster.

I would, but after adding a bit more to the return (a 3rd or 4th?).

I could still get Harrison or Wright with the 17th pick, if none of the other top LTs were gone. I could even wait for the early 2nd for Bergeron and pick up our 3 tech in Ade Ade or Keion White with 17.

What I would do in the scenario is trade the 32nd pick for someone who was desperate to move up unless my top player is sitting there at the start of day 2. I would do this because this is where I could get an extra 3rd rounder because the 1st pick of day 2 is valuable enough to get a 3rd round pick to move down a bit.

Getting the 3 tech (Ade Ade or White), a nasty RT (Bergeron) and one of the better edges with our 1st and 2nd round picks would be solid. Having 2 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th rounders would allow Poles to move up or down later on day 2 and certainly on day 3.

The draft will probably be a few weeks after war starts. No need to have a draft during peace time.
very funny. you just don't know when it actually is

If he trades down to 17 and picks up 32 and possibly another pick he could then trade up from 17 to 13 to 15 giving up very little to do so and make sure he gets one of the top 3 OTs.

You also know that's not realistic.................right.
Is it likely to happen, no. Can it happen yes. Trades like that have happened before. Poles sits nicely at #9. If someone wants to trade up, make them pay for it.
