"Per Dehner, a McCarron deal will come down to a "matter of when, where and who will provide the most value" on the trade market. "You understand something might be happening and they’re trying to find somebody they’re possibly comfortable (trading) with," McCarron said Monday, anticipating a move. After showing reasonably well as a game manager in three spot starts in 2015, McCarron posted a 3:0 TD-to-INT ratio with a 65.5 completion rate this preseason. A poor man's version of Andy Dalton, McCarron might command a second- or third-round pick but is unlikely to fetch a first-rounder. We still wouldn't rule out the possibility he lasts in Cincinnati one more year."

would you trade a 3rd for him to come and compete with barkely?, mccarron is under contract through 2017

I'd trade a 3rd for him. He looked really good last season after Dalton went down.

Given how valuable the QB position is, I think it would be worth the risk to trade a 3rd and see what he can do for a full season.

He definitely hasn't shown enough, though, to trade a first or a high second round pick to get him.

No. Ask yourself this question. Would you feel comfortable going into next season with this depth chart - McCarron/Hoyer/Barkley?

Do you think the 01 bucs were happy with Johnson and King or 99 rams were excited with warner and joe germaine.... Im not saying AJ is the next Kurt warner, but you never know im not for or against it. It would be interesting that is for sure give a third for him draft a kid in the 2nd to be the future.

A lot of people don't see too much value in mid to late round picks and want to trade them away?????

Jordan Howard mean anything to you people? Obviously, this isn't the norm but a majority of the NFL are mid to late picks and even un-drafted players.

If I we lost our top three qb's then sure but this franchise needs and deserves an elite qb

He has hardly played in the NFL, and has proven nothing. (Other than being a "game manager")

A 3rd? No way.

Why not? In his 20's, comes from a college football power and prior to this season played for a winning organization and has starting experience. Has already seen NFL defenses and playbooks. If we could get him for a 3rd or 4th, that frees us up to take Malik Hooker or Jonathan Allen at #3.

Same as the Jimmy trade, pass.

Teams rarely trade good starting QB's and both have too limited playing time to really know what you have.

Draft a QB or just fold the tent and shut the franchise down. Why is it the Bears always have to go dumpster diving for QB's.

Just because you have a Pro Bowler playing in front of you doesn't mean you're trash. I's called team depth.
