I would trade him and his salary all day long.

A potential dynamic player? yes. I have a fear that he will be his own worst enemy in his career and never fulfill expectations.

No, no, a million times no.

Not until a contract year, if at all.

Kane was a #1 pick, drafted to bolster the Hawks' offense in hopes of bringing the Cup back to Chicago. In his 3rd year in the league, he did just that.

He's one of the top players in the league, with incredible playmaking ability and a lethal wrist shot when he uses it (and I wish he'd use it soooo much more). He's got a great chemistry with Toews on the ice, and the two of them together are the core of this franchise and should not go anywhere. Throw Keith, Sharp, and Hossa in there as well.

One season where the team struggles and these threads pop up. Whether you think it's a viable option or not, the mere fact this thread exists is ridiculous, in my opinion. A few pictures pop up that have no solid evidence in the story or anywhere else, and now this.

C'mon guys.

I agree with this...

Its one off season and everyone is jumping all over everybody and its really annoying...like you said he brought the cup to chicago like he was supposed to.

However, if a incredible deal came on the table for Kane, one that could not be turned down, just an overwhelming trade, then yes I would trade him (which is why i voted yes)

But I am not trading him because of the photos or this season...like dmelt said, if it was his contract year and he expressed no desire to resign, then yes

But yes, I would trade him but only for a huge return in a contract year (which will never happen anyway)

Not at this juncture.

I may not mind if they trade him fairly when his contract is winding away instead of giving him a 3rd contract.

And I don't believe you'd get equal return for Kane in a trade. No team would be willing to give up that much.

Right. because it is just about a few pictures. i dont know how many games you go to, but if you were to be able to see everything on the ice (stuff camera doesnt show) you would see the real lackluster kane every single shift.

ok, so we want to bring up pics of supposed brown bag flu, pics with chicks in bed, limo rides, beating up cab drivers..etc....lets forget about all that and just say that he likes to party.

HERES the problem: Alot of athletes like to party, when it interferes with your play it needs to be brought up. Just like in REAL life work. I see people who party their asses off all night and still do their job great, while others cant. Kane is in the latter.

Kane is not a top 10 player in the NHL, and probably never will be.

Kane brings more then skill to this team. He is the story.

How much press did he get during the olympics? He and Miller were the face of American hockey.

Trading him would be stupid.

I'd trade him for Stalberg, but it would be pretty pointless to trade him to ourselves.

This has nothing to do with stupid bull photos, but more to the point -if there is a market for the guy- then yes, why wouldn't you?

This isn't about about bailing on the guy, or giving up on the guy - no, not in the least ... but if dealing the guy improves the team - hell yes, and in a heart beat.

If he can get you a 2 way center, with good face off skills, good penalty killing, and a good play maker - and a proven scoring winger ... why the hell, wouldn't anyone? It could actually create an actual 3rd line --- but, I get the feeling that some people are way too hung up on personalities (in general, not here...).

At any rate, the bottom line is -would it improve the team? If yes ... hit the deal key. . . if no... step away from the keyboard ... NOW :)

Yes, I would, if it improves the team. I mean, we root for the stitched injun face under the human face, right?

However, I would be stunned by whatever pieces were thrown together from one team in return would yield equal value--and what an interesting situation that other team would be in that they would choose to part with those pieces with so much time remaining on his contract. That's how/why I think he's unmovable (aside from the fact that he holds to key to whether or not he moves). My opinion (ya ya, homerish) is that he is the best young playmaker RW in the game. The sun is rising in terms of this guy's career.

IMO you have to listen to any offer. If its too good to turn down there are very few players that are indispensable.

The only player that is unmovable is Toews in my book.
