No Way. No way. This guy has 12+ wins a season all over him. He and Sale are a great tandem.

Quintana is a good guy and worth a lot in my opinion, it would have to be a 5 star prospect. I think Qunitana is worth more than Peavey was so I'd want better than Avisail.

Would you take a slight downgrade for a righty?

The minute we put Quintana on the market 30 GM red flags are going to pop up. "Kenny's trying to scam another hurt commodity on us".

Well get a replacement for Dunn and Konerko

We need pitching

dunn i think comes back for cheaper. the franchise loves him in the clubhouse with the young guys. plus he is a left handed stick. he wont get what he got years ago so it would be worth it.

pitching is key. lets assume that rodon signs and is good. we have 1 ace, a solid number 2 in Q, and maybe rodon is a top guy as well. Id want a right handed number 2. a guy who is durable and a guy that is a sinkerballer.

Pitching is, for once, the one thing we have no depth at. Or at least, depth that is really any good.

You don't trade away Quintana. Unless, maybe, if Rodon signs and is dominant, in that case you flip Quintana for a righty of equal value.

As with any trade, it depends on the return, but I was disappointed to hear the Sox consider him untouchable. It seems like he's too quick to show up his teammates when things aren't going his way, and I just get the feeling that he's not the mentally toughest guy or well liked in the clubhouse. I hope my impression is wrong, because if Rodon signs and can be the pitcher everyone thinks he'll be, Quintana would be a beast as the number 4 starter (he's a solid 2 and a very good 3, but I can't imagine the Sox wanting to stack 3 lefties in a row in the rotation).
