Bono is a smart feudal lord. U2 made more selling their played out crap to apple than they would have made touring. That said, they'll be back at soldier field too soon

It has been described as a debacle by some, and a whole new revenue model for the music industry by others. Yet, the marriage of Apple and U2, which saw the tech giant distribute the band's new album to 500m people for free, is neither.
Online bile towards U2 from very vocal and very annoyed critics of the band does not really reflect the gains for the rock group from this deal. Apple had the somewhat embarrassing task last week of providing a special button to allow iTunes customers to delete the new album. This prompted a wave of comment about how the entire link up had been mishandled, was arrogant and had backfired on the company.
But from a corporate, financial and brand point of view, Apple has shipped some criticism but the U2 link up has done the job.
Imagine the conversation when Apple chief executive Tim Cook outlined the plan to his finance director. "We are going to pay U2 $100m which will allow us to distribute their album Songs of Innocence to 500 million for free," he might have said.

And honesty, I don't really like Apple products. iPods.... that's probably all I like.

This is sooo true. Makes me wonder if apple users are the types that like large Corporations telling them what to do. It always cracks me up when Apple makes a new announcement of a feature on their phone and make it sound groundbreaking. Android users say "We have had that feature for two years."
Friend of mine hates her sms texting app on her iphone and wanted to default to a different sms texting app of her own. I showed her on my android that I just go into settings and select which sms app I want texts to go to. Simple as can be. Nope, can't do it on the iphone.
I asked her why she wants to keep the iphone because she doesn't like the limitations of it. She said she likes the sleek slim look of the iphone and that is the only reason she keeps it. Wow.

For all the Apple users out there.... just know.... your Apple computer has the exact same hardware components as that of a PC.... same CPUs, same Memory, same Mobos, same Hard Drives, same Video cards.... and a different case and a different OS.
I know people who pay an extra 1000$ to get an iMac and then wanna put Windows on it.... motherfucker you paid for their fucking software and logo.... you coulda put a sticker on your PC if you wanted Windows.
