what is her degree in?[/quote]

She has a BFA in fine arts (painting and drawing) from Columbia College in Chicago.

She's a hell of an artist.

Anyone want to commission any drawings/paintings?

She is also good at interior painting (the old fashioned one color on a wall).

So, if anyone needs a painter in that regard, she's pretty damn good.

Never seen any kind of art like that... i was actually starring at the intricate patterns for a couple minutes before realizing it. It's like a colorful maze that I couldn't get out of... that is pretty awesome!

Actually, I will be in touch here soon. I was in the process of starting to shop out someone to paint the place. Any issues with 20' walls if I have the ladder?

Also, I just talked to one of the chickies I hang with and she is starting a web site to showcase and sell stuff from Chicago local artists. I have inquired for ya, and see her tomorrow night. Ultimately, she is looking for artists to pay for the service but to start, I believe it is a commission to get started.

EDIT: Ok, she is interested. I will send ya a PM with some details.

Shouldn't be a problem-- but she can come by to take a look.

Where are you located?

Dante wants a nude, live-model painting of Turco if she has time. Have RK set it up!

I know a woman in the building who is an interior designer and tries to sell paintings and art peices to clients. I can not promiss anything seeing she won't even carry my art the ***** but I will pass on these photos if you want me to Paul.

I also know a woman who commissions pieces for film and television here. I'll see what she says also about maybe bringing in some of her pieces. Your wife is freaking talented for sure. I remember seeing her work on the O boards when you posted some in our art threads. I absolutely love her abstract works. Its my favorite form and she is fantastic. If I was a wealthy man I would dig into my pockets for one of her pieces.

Again I can not promiss anything but it's worth a shot if you want me too? Tough gig doing the art thing I know. Esp right now in this economical climate. One thing that is not being bought are art pieces and people are hesitant to fund any arts right now. Rather not get into that debate right now.

Sorry for your wifes luck Paul. It's not a great time right now is it? You guys will be fine though I am 100% sure. Good people get good things coming to them.

Well I don't want to formally commission a piece but I really liked some of the pencil works that I saw on Marcy's website. Are any/all of the works currently on the site available for sale? Also I saw in her bio there that she was a part of Around the Coyote in 2009 (love, love, LOVE AtC BTW!) so belated kudos on that for her! Does she independently list and sell her works at any of the online artists community sites like Artnet.com or Artbreak.com or is she repped by any online gallery or service?

With all the filming in Vancouver, that has to be a sweet gig.
