Well you don't appreciate haute cuisine. You just want to hop on your train to midlothian and drink your 16 oz of coord banquet beer

Were you aware that you can walk between the 2 stations underground, dick?

I walk to French Market and my sister walks from Union Station to meet every other week. #PissingContest?

I was not aware of that, and I prefer being called Richard. Union Station is two blocks south of OTC above or below ground.

I also agreed that the place is great, so you are triumphant in the imagined #PissingContest. Congratulations.

Thanks. And listen richard, the point here is that YOU CAN CARRY YOUR MEATLOAF CUPCAKE DIRECTLY TO THE TRAIN

If I'm sitting on a crowded rush hour train filling my face, I would prefer something more pungent than meatloaf. Some crazy fish/cheese/Indian thing maybe.

Then with a mouth full of Limburger Salmon Curry I would shout racist obscenities on the phone. When I am done eating, I would ask the conductor for a bucket.

That's the Chicago way.

Go to the Chicago Cut Steakhouse. Best dinner I've had in my life. Got the Louisiana ribeye.

This place is fucking incredible. Highly recommend.

Also in that area is Perry's Deli. Real good place to get a sandwich. Just don't answer your phone while you're inside, they're banned.

AWWWW SHIT! I used to go there once a week when I worked downtown. BIGGEST JUICIEST PASTRAMI EVER HAD. Their sandwiches are HUGE. Ever had their BLT? It's got like a pound of bacon on it. Oh man, thanks for making me super hungry...

I have to take continuing education for work and the building is at Wacker and Wells, about two blocks from that place. I'm going to be back there in a few weeks and the first day of lunch will be at Perry's. No doubt. Get the Pastrami with their Russian sauce ... so damn good, man.

Bavette's is a great steakhouse. I would also consider David Burke's, as well.

I get pretty gangster with that pastrami, throw some bacon on there and that thick ass cheddar cheese they got, slaw, and russian gravysauce dressing, maybe some pickles too. Pile that stuff on a kaiser and you got something to get pumped about.

There's literally enough meat on their sandwiches to make a week's worth of normal sized sandwiches. OMG HHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG

I dine out in Chicago. A lot. It would help if we knew exactly what you are looking for.

For this trip, biggest considerations are:

1) Places withing relative close proximity to where we're staying
2) Kid friendly

I REALLY want to go to Bavette's. I should have done it last time I was up there. But I get the sense it probably isn't ideal for a picky 7 year old.
