That is factually not true. They have some major trade chips that you guys simply don't have in Nick Castellanos and Jacob Turner for example.

Turner and Oliver are good pitchers, but they have a lot of money tied up, are they really going to trade away young pitchers and risk not having the cash for Verlander?
Is some team really going to give them a Quentin or a good starting pitcher for a SS in AA? (Castellanos), if so, Kenny needs to give that guy a call.
