If I had a "crush", probably Jalon Walker even though I don't think he fits on the Bears.

That said, focused mostly on the top 3 picks, I'm very interested in getting more info on (caveat, I don't know who is and isn't working out):
Jalon Walker
Mykel W
Stewart
Pearce
Tuimoloau
Sawyer
If any DT hits a ridiculous 40

Just for measurements:
Graham (feel like he might slip cause of it)
Campbell
Membou
Kelvin Banks

I want to see how Walter Nolen measures and tests, see if his numbers are as explosive as his tape.

Actually hoping Donovan Jackson tests poorly so maybe enough teams forget just how good he looked in the CFB championship and he falls to 39.

Is Landon Jackson actually 6'7 280 lbs.? He does look somewhat lumbering on tape, is that because hes so fuckin huge or is he really 6'5 270 lbs and just not that athletic for the position?

I want to see how Princely Umanmielen tests, another guy who looked explosive on film but wonder if that will translate to testing numbers and is he really over 260 lbs? This is my dream 2nd round pick if they dont address the position earlier.

I’m trenches all the way in free agency and the draft. It’s time. T Mac is the only wideout worth a top 10 pick and I like Burden.

There is an intriguing player that fills a big need. Think Derwin James…
Still, they can’t draft him.

I would not be opposed to trading back and selecting Donovan Jackson. Again, one of my favorite players in the draft.
Yes Donovan Jackson!

Isn't he the guy that had a video hitting bags a couple of years back that everyone was making fun of?

The coach in the background is hilarious....

Everyone has their opinions of what the Bears will do at #10, but I have a combine crush that might throw a curve that no one has seen coming...

Yes I know all about the need for help in the trenches and Mason Graham or Will Allen blah blah blah... But there is a playmaker they could take at #10 that could be the key to unlocking everything for this offense...

Hell No, I'm not talking about Ashton Jeanty. I'm talking about adding an Amon-Ra St. Brown, Steve Smith, or better yet young pre-concussed Antonio Brown level talent to this team at slot receiver.

The player I'm speaking of is...
Luther Burden III from Missouri.

Is he really 5'11" 208 or is he smaller?
Does he run a low 4.4 40 or faster?
What's his 10 yd split, is it close to 1.50?

These are things that can make him a legit top 10 option despite being a slot receiver coming off a down year statistically (blame the QB for those numbers)

I love a WR that is a really good punt returner, LB3 had 8TD on punt returns in high-school and was really good his freshman year at Mizoo before he became too important to their offense to do it.

It would be a shock to most fans if the Bears take him, but I'm looking forward to see if he lights up the combine...

Anyone else?
He was going in top 10 of drafts when this whole process started but the down year has dropped him from the so called "draft experts" boards but as i've been saying their boards will be different than actual GM's/Teams boards.

My combine crush is Kay Adams. Hope she shows up for me this year.

So wait... you are okay if they end up drafting a Peter Skoronski type Guard at #10 but you will behead King Poles for drafting Amon-Ra 2.0 at WR3?
We already have Aman Ra in DJ Moore.

Going WR at #10 would be stupid. I'd rather draft Jeanty over Burden at #10.

I'm getting tired of this, and I'm not coming at you about this, so please don't think I'm attacking you specifically.

Ben Johnson is getting paid a lot of money to coach this team, and he got to pick his staff. Bottom line is the #10 pick means you have a chance for a blue chip, difference maker. With the exception of QB, "fit" shouldn't be an issue. If Walker is the BPA, then you take him. It's Dennis Allen's responsibility to find a way to maximize him.

Think the only way we get Donovan Jackson is that trade down you mentioned because no way he makes it to the 2nd round IMO but obviously all over him if he does.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Landon Jackson as well. I like how he's all effort all the time and i'd like him or Jack Sawyer around #41.

The guy I am most curious about is Grant. That’s a big man that can move. Membou on the OL.
Walter Nolen is my guy at 10, but Grant and Membou are there for me, also.

Grant is huge, but it is crazy how nimble he is at that size. Membou has the potential to be an elite G with T flexibility in a pinch.

This really is the perfect draft to trade down in the 15-20 range if the opportunity presents itself.

Bears fans are the absolute worst this time of year. There’s zero need for another receiver in the 1st round, and that’s the kind of shit we’d make fun of Matt Millen for doing in Detroit as he marches toward getting fired after being a clown gm. But if you go get 1 OL and 1 DE in FA then apparently it’s fine to waste more resources on playmakers you don’t need. We literally just saw with Keenan Allen how it’s hard to spread the ball around to 4-5 highly paid/drafted guys, and a rookie WR finishing with 4-500 yards receiving as a top 10 pick will be called a bust, and the team won’t be better for it, you just take more reps/opportunities from your already highly-paid and highly drafted guys. The kind of shit a teenager playing madden on easy mode would do.

Pick an edge rusher, pick an IDL, OT, or IOL. The draft is top heavy with players for trenches on either side of the ball except Center. I’m past the point where I care about what college jersey the kid wore last year, pick the right one. Is that Pearce? Is that Walt Nolen? Is it the kid from Marshall nobody heard of until he put an OL (Josh Connerly) playing out of position on his ass in 1 rep at the senior bowl? Is that Booker/Campbell/Banks/Milium? Is that Connerly or the kid from Arizona whose name I’m not going to try and spell—we’ll just call him Jonah.

For the sake of OP’s exercise, I’m going with Wyatt Milium from WV. Get some Kyle Long vibes from him, though the arm length size queens are sure to get their panties in a twist. Dude is the attitude run mauler and plus pass protector, probably a late 1st/early 2nd, and he didn’t plays the multiple OL stalwarts like Booker, he was the ace for WV.

Otherwise I don’t care. Pick the right one. Be able to say you hit on a 1st round draft pick. Get the kid everybody else wishes they could have seen what you did, and the kid be good for ideally the next decade in a bears uni.
1. Thanks for the Millium reminder, I do want to see how he looks and measures out because he didn't look good at the senior bowl in the clips I watched.

2. Comparing a slow and old Keenan Allen to an electric playmaker that can play all over the field on offense and on special teams is lazy as hell.

If you look at what BJ did in Detroit you can see that speed and creativity is what had defenses constantly in trouble against them because of match-up problems. A hard-nosed player like Burden can do many of things Jamyhr Gibbs does.

The one dimensional thinking that many fans have is why the Bears would have never drafted a RB like Gibbs in the first place. I'm not saying absolutely take LB3 at #10 but I hope Poles at least has a bit more of an open mind if his head coach says get me a dynamic playmaker that opens up the offense, instead of a guard at #10 or DT that maybe gets you 4 sacks and 30 tkls in year one.

It's over, I'm definitely out on Landon now and didn't want him even before seeing this debacle
