always thought stone gossard was too good for pearl jam and that screaming trees were good stuff before the grunge explosion. calvin johnson of beat happening also did his best work during those grunge hype years.

I looooooooooooved the Trees. Mark Lanegan's solo stuff is also fantastic, though in an entirely different way.
