When I first saw the trade alert I thought the bulls got Fox for a second. In reality it is the polar opposite outcome. God bless Gerald Reinsdorf.
The Bulls? Getting someone good?

Bulls can’t draft their way out of a paper bag so getting draft picks are worthless.(we do once in a while get a good player in the draft but not often enough to make a championship caliber team)

Spurs and Kings again? Are those the only numbers AK has? This was another trade where we gave up the talent and other teams benefited by getting all the assets while we got the junk. We did get our pick back fortunately so it mitigates that atleast.

Poor Zach, traded to California but it's the Kings and he has to play with DeRozan again LOL.

He traded with Orlando his first year and OKC last year.

I was joking. Funny enough I think OKC were the ones who called and offered Giddey for Caruso.

Rudderless organization. I might care once Jerry dies.
The direction is actually super clear, make maximum profit with minimal investment into the actual team. At this stage I have no reason to believe that anything will change when Jerry dies, his offspring shall continue his fantastic business model

It’s a great business model to be fair. Just not a great business model if you’re a fan.

Now that it's all official, Zach ends his Bulls career with 416 games played in 8 seasons (including this one) averaging 24.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 4.3apg on 47.4% FG%, 39% 3pt%, 83.4% FT% in 34.5mpg.

It was his time to go, but now we must endure the long drought before another Bulls player gets close to those numbers

In today's NBA, it shouldn't be too difficult. Minus the 3pt shooting, DeRozan basically gave us those type of numbers as well.

Hell, last year, Coby had a 2 month stretch where he was averaging numbers similar to that.

What you said is true, but I don't see Coby suddenly averaging 24 a game to finish this year, let alone averaging those numbers for a full season in any season.

Hopefully the turnaround is short, but I think it'll be at least a few years before a Bulls player of Zach's caliber is on the roster averaging such numbers.

Fingers crossed for Matas though

100%. ZL never really gained the traction with bulls fans that he probably should have. there was never much appreciation for his "Robinesque" level of play, probably due to the glaring hole of no "Batman." Like that is somehow his fault

Zach, like many "Robin" types, suffers in fan perspective from being paid like a "Batman" which is also not his fault. Robins are often just maligned for not being Batmans, as if being a Robin makes them a bad player.
