How far are the fences in your league? And is there a home run limit?

I've had soccer games and tournaments at Sportscore, the fields are pretty nice. How are the softball fields out there?

Also good luck I'm gonna follow this

That's good. I hate it when leagues limit the amount of HR's that can be hit in a game.

Yeah, some leagues here have a limit. This one doesn't.

Update....

I'll use stats that I have, and ones from here on out.

Sunday.

DPS 4, Two Cans 1

Zack (LF): 1-4, Single, run scored.

Comments: I'm in a slump. Didn't help that the UMP had a huge strike zone going. Good team win though, in our first game in the upper division.

Sorry, but guys talking walks and working the count in a co-ed rec league is the epitome of lame. Have some respect for the game.
I agree. I was referring to the ump making strike calls, that were way out of the strike zone. In these rec leagues, a ball that hits the plate is a ball. But some umps decide to call strikes. Not that easy to give the ball a ride when it hits the front of the plate. And to make matters worse, if you cross the plate your automatically out.

I hardly ever take walks unless the pitches are ridiculously bad. The thing that sucks is the umps are so inconsistent, you never know what's going to be called a ball or a strike.

And believe me, there are teams in these leagues that won't swing the bat. They will wait and take walks all game.

Tuesday

Base Gods 10, National Header Die 2

Stat line: 2-4, run, rbi, 2 singles; Also 1 unassisted double play.

Comment: Played our last regular season game and finished with just two losses in the divisional round schedule (7-2). Next week is the positional round against 640 Meats. The same team that beat us twice (10-9, 3-1). If we win, we get the #1 seed for the tourney. Lose and we get the #2 seed. We have clinched a automatic bye for the first round.

In the rec league I play in, we've got the same issue. Some umps call things loose, but consistent...some are inconsistent and terrible...if a ball is 9 ft over your head, it's not a strike, quit w/ dat shit.

And, my team never tries to take a walk either, but we've been beaten twice in the last year by the worst team in the league, who won't swing until they've got 2 strikes...hoping to draw walks. ugh.

It sucks. But with an inconsistent ump there's nothing you can really do, but swing and hope for something.

Walks??? You play to win the game.

Unless it's co-ed...then you play to drink beer...or is it drink beer to play?
