Link? Prove it or STFU
The very first quote of my post clearly shows me saying county, dumb ****.
You can edit post in a certain amount of time and it won’t show. I can’t link it and you know that

No bold on stupid and I just edited it
I realize that you are severely mentally challenged. Now I will explain why you are such a clueless dumb ****. Post 55, the first response to my post, clearly shows he is responding to me referencing the COUNTY, dumbass. It was quite clear what I said, yet he, in his equally mentally challenged state, thought I said City, WHEN IT WAS CLEAR AS DAY, I had said county. An edited post does not change in another's quote.

Now take your "L" and run along and go play in the street.

So you just admitted that you have no rebuttal. Thanks
" In 2002, Soldier Field, the Chicago Bears home, urgently needed upgrades to modernize the stadium, which was built in 1924. Renovation costs were $587 million in total. The NFL and the Bears organization chipped in $200 million toward the work, and the city of Chicago financed $387 million through municipal bonds levied by a tourism tax in Chicago. According to an investigation by NBC Chicago News, 20 years after the renovation, Chicago owes $640 million on its initial $387 million bonds after years of deferring payments. The city declined to comment to NBC Chicago."

You said city then edited it. I proved you can do it without the message coming up but you’re too stupid to figure that out and someone pretending to like the worst franchise in sports shouldn’t tell anyone else to take an “L”

No, actually, I can give you numerous examples of Municipalities offering tax credits for a relocation such as this.

Here is one:

But then you have the Chitcago way of doing things....................

Chitcago, the corruption capital of the US.

Now it is your turn.
I think the McCaskey's are idiot football owners (that's not really the issue here though), but they are billionaires. They have teams of legal and tax professionals working for them. In Ryan Pace's words, I think the situation is fluid and they don't feel like they have to be strong-armed into something they don't want to do. It's not really a secret that they fucked up the Soldier Field reno the first go around, so they are going to take their time and do this one right. Which is why they brought on Kevin Warren. Bears messaging has been fairly consistent that just because they bought the property doesn't mean it's the final destination. In the end if they don't develop it, they can just hold the land and sell it off over the years because they aren't making any more of it.

“We do need a new home for the Chicago Bears,” Warren said, via NBC Sports Chicago. “We have to figure out if Arlington Heights is legitimately a viable option or is it not. This has nothing to do with personal feelings. This is strictly business. And I just want to make sure that we’re all on the same page and figure out if this is something that will work.”

The Bears have started demolition on the Arlington International Racecourse, but they’re reiterated that doesn’t mean a stadium will be built. If Warren’s comments are any indication, any resolution still feels a long way away. But Warren assured everyone they’re doing their due diligence when it comes to finding the best partner.

“This is not about the Chicago Bears trying to come in and take advantage of everyone,” Warren said. “It’s the opposite. It’s about the Chicago Bears finding a partner.”

“Once we have a legitimate partner, we will move forward,” Warren added. “If that’s in Arlington Heights, great. If it’s somewhere else, that’s great too.”

I personally think their preference has always been to remain in the city of Chicago and the purchase of AH was to try and bring the city to the negotiation table. Whether that happens or not is any's guess at this point.

I think what the AH purchase did do was put surrounding burbs on notice that the Bears are serious about leaving if it comes to that. Other cities in the Chicago area are already lining up to talk with the Bears about locations.

Also, lol at the 'Chitcago' reference. Chicago has the 3rd largest economy in the US and around the 20th ranked economy in the world by GDP.

Then why can't they pay the bonds they issued to fund the 2002 soldier Field renovation?

Pa-thetic.

Yet in this very thread many insist that Chicago does not influence (or more realistically outright control) Cook County politics.

The city can do this shit for years if it has to. The truth is the McCaskey family does not have nearly enough money to win this fight. They’ll come crawling back, it’s already begun.
