I agree. The fact that none of the three main characters (Flus, Brown, Caleb) had the sense to call timeout after a sack is mind-boggling.

I'm not entirely sure that Caleb remembered he had a timeout. When he was explaining that he made an adjustment to the call for Rome, he was explaining because at that point there was only 13 seconds and there is not enough time for another play of any sort...then, he kinda paused and went, oh yeah, we did have a timeout.

Definitely a learning experience for the rookie.

Let's ignore the fact that the Lions were down 9 starters on defense. I'd rather focus on your phrasing of "struggled early"....Caleb and the Bears offense was virtually non-existent in the first half against Detroit. That cost the Bears the game moreso than anything else.

Because Caleb was erractic. What playcalls are you taking issue with in the 1st half. Be specific? Brown cant throw the ball for Caleb.

Brown is in the booth so cant call a timeout.

On the other side of things, I am curious as to how Brown is not at all in the conversation of the end of game screw up. Given that the right decision was to run a play then call timeout. If Caleb is complaining that it took 20 seconds for him to get the play call, who's fault was that? And then, Caleb should have still have ran Brown's play, right?

It didnt take 20 seconds to get the call. 32 seconds when he was sacked and you can see him calling the play at 20 seconds so that is 12 seconds for the play call. He had plenty of time to run the play and call a TO.

Well I know that lol. That was just what Caleb said. Look, at this point I'm fine with them firing Eberflus, if for no other reason I'm tired of every thing from a false start to an incomplete pass being his fault. But everything I see and read leads to that bad game ending being 100% on CW. If all simpleton Bear fans can admit that and stop blaming one individual for everything. Glad he's gone.

Not 100% Caleb.

1. The players were slow to get back so I would give them 10%.

2. Caleb knowing 1 above changes the play which makes no sense. Even if he didnt realize he had 1 left still his fault for not knowing so I give him 20%

3. The simple fact is it is inexclusable as a coach to see 1 and 2 happening and not cal a time out. Once you get to like 12-15 seconds call a time out and run a sideline play. So he gets most of the blame because as coach he is the final backstop to prevent 1 and 2 from leading to what we saw yesterday. So I fault him for 80% of it.

If we can slow down the run, and put a little pressure on Goff, without blitzing, and CW plays good, I think we win.
I give the bears credit, they fought hard and adjusted well at the half. on both sides of the ball
