Truth - no doubt about it - absolutely. I was not saying that we should only draft blockers in the first round. My above comment is commentary that this team has been building an OL off the scrap heap for years. I have been frustrated that th only premium draft pick Poles invested in this line has been Wright (until Kiran Amegadjie this year). In this past draft, I was also defending the idea of drafting Latham even if he projects as guard.
I (edit - I said always, I can't exactly say premium is a term of art, so editing to say typically) typically would say premium picks are top 100 picks, btw. Because those guys often get meaningful snaps and starts as rookies. Not to be nit picky, but I'm for putting seconds and thirds into the OL for the same reason as I have no problem drafting a guard in the first round. This upcoming draft Chicago will have four premium picks - I'm not about to complain if all of them are OL.
