For Kupp? They must be on something... Keenan was traded for a 4th and Hopkins a conditional 4th. Rams are not getting a 2nd for Kupp.

Obviously, I'm happy the Viking lost.. but they got shafted on at least 2 big calls. The first one was on LA's first scoring drive and they got penalized for defensive holding on 3rd down, giving LA the first, and ultimately a TD. On replay, it didn't look like a hold at all.
Then this missed facemask call.

Hopkins is averaging 25 yards a game. He may not have a great quarterback but that’s pedestrian.

Reid being a bad game manager is well known in NFL circles and I already provided mutiple articles discussing this. He wins because of his playcalling, Mahomes and lately that stud D he has. Not because he is a good game manager.

Darnold's pocket awareness sucks. The defender had him dead to rights as he stood there like a moron in the endzone—a penalty would have just been a temporary bail out. And the drive before that he ran backwards for 10 yards like a rookie before getting sacked.

If this is the play I am thinking about, the defender was clearly pulling on the guy's shirt. Dont think he actually affected the WR much anytime you visibly pulling at a guy's jersey you run the risk of getting called as it is such a visible sign of holding.
The missed face mask was obviously terrible but you still talking driving 75 yards and getting a TD and 2 point conversion.

Huh? Kupp is 31 and constantly injured over the last 3 years. I think it's pretty obvious how "geriatric" Hopkins compares.

They are nuts. Even taking some salary, they aren't getting a 2nd for Kupp. That's even more than Davante Adams, who has had the better career and less injured. It's probably a moot point after today's win.

You are right. I did not realize just how much Kupp’s production had fallen off over a three-year period. I thought it was more like a season or two.
I am always down on Hopkins because I think he has done nothing and really looks old but he did actually get to 1000 yards last year.
That being said, I would not want Hopkins myself although I think the Chiefs will get some value out of him, but not something extraordinary like people automatically assume.

Initially I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought about why I never see any team go for 2 in that situation, because I figured that meant the analytics say kick the extra point.
I think the theory would be that if you go for 2 and fail, that you open the door for a TD and 2 point conversion to beat you. Protecting yourself against a loss on one drive is very valuable, I'm certain that's the analytics behind kicking.

It is just negotiation tactics. Raiders initally said they wanted a 2nd for Adams and settled for a 3rd.
