Obviously, I'm happy the Viking lost.. but they got shafted on at least 2 big calls. The first one was on LA's first scoring drive and they got penalized for defensive holding on 3rd down, giving LA the first, and ultimately a TD. On replay, it didn't look like a hold at all.
Then this missed facemask call.

I'll take it as a Bears fan... but I'd be pissed if I were a Vikings fan haha
I fell asleep on the game but watched the replay of that face-mask penalty. That one was a bad one to miss.

Yeah, had that happened at the 5 yard line that would’ve been a really bad one on its own. But when you then tell the Vikings, you’re now down 10 and have to give up the ball, it literally ended the game and that’s unfortunate.

Vikings fans say the refs stole the game as though they were on the other 3 yard line and down six, but still their chances of going down the field might not have been great but they were not zero.

Unfortunate ending.

Refs def had $$ on the rams.

There were two of them in the endzone, even if you didnt see him "grab" the facemask because of the angle it was clear that he did because of how darnolds head twisted.

Pretty simple call. This isn't just this game, the refs have been terrible all year particularly in prime time.

You could have thrown the flag and then confer with the other refs to get a second opinion. There's always a flag or two that's picked up because of something like that. Worst case scenario you do that, otherwise you get the call right rather than making a no-call that can't be remedied.

But yea, on the 3 yard line, 97 yards to go down 8 against a defense that had only allowed two field goals after the end of the 1st quarter? Unlikely that the Vikings would have won anyway.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Oakland Raiders
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
If this is the play I am thinking about, the defender was clearly pulling on the guy's shirt. Dont think he actually affected the WR much anytime you visibly pulling at a guy's jersey you run the risk of getting called as it is such a visible sign of holding.

The missed face mask was obviously terrible but you still talking driving 75 yards and getting a TD and 2 point conversion.

I know they had 4 calls go against them when it was 3rd down. But the one I'm thinking about was the one where both Al Michaels and Herb were both saying that they didn't really see anything there. I agreed.. Again, I didn't really care, but it was an incredibly weak call. I mean, you look at that circus catch by JJ on the sideline, that DB was grabbing his jersey by the chest pretty much the entire time he was going up for the catch, and there was no flag. It didn't matter at the end of the day because JJ caught it, but that was a clear hold that wasn't called, where as earlier in the game, they call a very ticky tack hold on the Vikings on the other side of the field that didn't even impact the play.

Like I said... as a Bears fan, I don't care... but if this happened to the Bears, people would be on fire haha

Yeah that is the one I was thinking of as they did say they didnt see anythig which I found weird because the replay shpwed he pulled the jersey.

Vikes were 97 yards away and had seven straight possessions without a TD. They needed 8.

But, yeah, the refs had money on the game. 😂

Blatant facemask in the endzone that ended the game essentially.

If they call that they are at the 20 with 1:40 left only down 8.,

Not saying it happens, but we have seen teams score in that situation plenty. If the refs missed that call in that situation for the bears this city would be livid.

Not defending the miss by the refs. It was clearly a penalty. And while the chances of winning were not great, they were greater than zero, and the missed call took those chances to zero.

I was simply responding to the asinine comment that "the refs had money on the game".

Jags' punter punts one 74 yards out of bounds at the 1. Packers drive all the way downfield and Love throws a pick at the 5. Love it!

I'm starting to believe that Mason Rudolph is good.
