Also probably regression to mean. That was an unusually good rookie year. QB progression is rarely linear. Hell even Mahomes has never matched his first year starting when he had 50 TDs and 113 rating both still career highs.

He and Poles have a strong history together. It’s certainly possible.

I’m not sure how Ballard ever saw a NFL QB in Richardson. That’s a brutal evaluation.

He does seem to have a decent eye for offensive linemen.

Read through some of the PFT game previews earlier today. I was surprised to read that Sunday will the first game this season that the Lions play in an outdoor stadium this year - in week 9 when they play at Green Bay. That just seems crazy to me but maybe it's just a sign of the times. Assuming the Bears eventually get their stadium and it's a dome. Green Bay will be the only team in the NFCN with an outdoor stadium.
