You can tell the kids are just crushed, their spirit is already shot. When you give up runs in the first inning, it's tough to come back from it. That and the inning lead-off hitters playing terrible, plus the defensive errors—done, toast.

The team simply, wasn't built to make it this far. The fact that Hendricks is the #3 starter is a joke

3/5 of the rotation was awful down the stretch, Lester/Arrieta just got out pitched against the other aces. Wonder how much of that is due to fatigue from having to carry the rotation down the stretch.
