Kris Bryant drafted out of college as a third baseman. Proven against more advanced pitching. Has higher power potential then all 3 and was college player of the year. Considered the best pure hitter coming out of college. Has shown no signs of busting or being challenged.

Evan Longoria drafted out of college as a third baseman. Proven against more advanced pitching. Big West co player of the year. Considered the best pure hitter coming out of college and progressed every season in the minors.

I didn't realize that both teams could claim the Championship when they go to the World Series. I thought the World Series was played to determine which team wins the Championship. Thanks for the heads up...I didn't realize that the actual playing of the World Series is a recent phenomena, and that in the past the MLB would simply award both teams the Championship.

So when you said "Success is about winning Championships", you really meant to say "Success is about making a WS appearance in the last 100 years and a deep playoff run a decade ago".

It doesn't matter what defensive position they were playing. That does not impact their offensive numbers. Nice try though.

Just as if they were drafted out of high school or college does not impact greatly how they perform at the AA level. If anything it was a disadvantage to the players I mentioned meaning for them to be successful they would have more talent. Nice try though.

And no one considered Bryant the best pure hitter coming out of college. He was the best power hitter, but not even close to the best pure hitter. Nice try though.
