Possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen on an internet forum. Honest.
I agree. You said it.
Possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen on an internet forum. Honest.
I have no idea what this Rudy discussion is about... but...
"No, Bryant is NOT Rudy's brother. I am Rudy's Brother. Bryant is Rudy. When I/Rudy's brother watch the Cubs/Notre Dame, I/Rudy's brother do not see Bryant/Rudy on the TV screen. "
"Bryant is Rudy"... how exactly is that not a comparison?
The original comparison was based upon Championships. The comment about the White Sox was based upon Championships. Success is about winning Championships. No one cares about who lost a NLDS in 2006. I'm glad you checked my math, though. I was really sweating it out. What? You were the one who made the original comparison of the Chiefs to Cubs. I responded with facts. Which part of my post was "strawman"?
Preceded by...
Lol if you dont care about how a guy does in the minors fine. But, do not compare the kind of prospect Bryant is to them. Bryant is comparable to Evan Longoria with his path not them.
It is a comparision. Thanks for pointing that out.
Brandon Wood, Ian Stewart and Mike Moustakas all crushed at AA and were all top 10 3B prospects.
But I am sure we aren't supposed to make those comparisons either.
It was only confusing to you. Yes, I directly compared Bryant to Rudy. Not Rudy's Brother.
ARE YOU OF THIS PLANET????
All part of the Cubs organization, aka "Today's Team".
All drafted out of high school. Comparable roads how?
LOL. Your trolling is pretty bad today, Rory. You realize that two teams go (went is past tense of go) to the WS every year, right? Perhaps you don't. As for the Cubs making the playoffs, that was in reference to your strawman. So when you said:
You are implying that the Cubs won the Championship when the went to the WS within the last 100 years, and they also won the Championship when they made a deep playoff run a decade ago. Those two events were the same as the Kansas City Chiefs actually winning the Championship in 1969.
Gotcha!
Yes. My "argument" hasn't changed since post #82, which was in response to your moronic statement that I compared Bryant to Rudy's brother.
No I didn't. If anything, I compared Bryant to Rudy. But I was really comparing my perception of Bryant to Rudy's brother's perception of Rudy.
Your brain is a festering turd. Keep trying.
Your brain is still a festering turd, too.
All top 10 prospects. All play 3B.
No, my analogy was great. You just didn't understand it, as evidenced by your comment that I compared Bryant to Rudy's brother.
You are the one who defined success as going to the playoffs with your strawman regarding the Chiefs "success" of going to the playoffs 11 times in the past 25 years (which is still less than half the time in a division that has been up for grabs for many years).I didn't realize that both teams could claim the Championship when they go to the World Series. I thought the World Series was played to determine which team wins the Championship. Thanks for the heads up...I didn't realize that the actual playing of the World Series is a recent phenomena, and that in the past the MLB would simply award both teams the Championship.
So when you said "Success is about winning Championships", you really meant to say "Success is about making a WS appearance in the last 100 years and a deep playoff run a decade ago".
Thanks for the clarification. Point taken.
It must be the best trolling ever from your perspective, because you seem incapable of deflecting your own idiocy.
Its alright, Kris Bryant for now on shall be called Rudy! You hit that one out of the park Rory.
Kris Bryant would make a terrible hobbit. He's like 6'5
They were shortstops that moved to third. They were all drafted out of high school. They were top 10 prospects who busted.
Kris Bryant drafted out of college as a third baseman. Proven against more advanced pitching. Has higher power potential then all 3 and was college player of the year. Considered the best pure hitter coming out of college. Has shown no signs of busting or being challenged.
Evan Longoria drafted out of college as a third baseman. Proven against more advanced pitching. Big West co player of the year. Considered the best pure hitter coming out of college and progressed every season in the minors.
Good comparison though.
