you got a loser on this forum that might actually believe that...and he's 45 years old. I'm just glad you don't...

There may be more than one person who actually believes that. :lmao:
Wasn't it D Wade who said that after the Bulls beat them the 3rd time in the regular season?:lmao:

I wonder who this 45 year old loser is, Because I know it isn't me, because 1. I'm not 45 years old, and 2. I'm no loser.

Just because I don't try to be a loudmouth bully, or try to kiss your ass and disagree with everything you say, does not make me a loser.

And I saw your post because nwfisch quoted it.

Yeah. Is he PFpro? We need to have a twitter argument again, so I can blow up all my friends twitterfeeds.

You're still a Lebron loverboy on your twitter

Again a failed attempt at humor on my part.

It WAS a push off...its obvious in the video that he pushed him off. Russell was standing in 1999 by the time Jordan took that shot. I was glad he hit the shot, but it is what it is...

It was far from a daggar though. Utah still had an opportunity to win the game and didn't. Had time ran out and he pushed off like that it would look a lot worse. Just seems to be playoff basketball....some contact + acting.

Also I slowed it down while watching it, it was a slight push off but it wasn't a full extension of the left elbow. Looks like Russell sold it well.

Thanks Rush. That is how I feel on it. Jordan was strong but Russell's own momentum carried him that far and he fell trying to get back to defend the shot.

Jordan's hand was on him, true, but had Jordan actually pushed him, his own momentum would have taken him out of the shot and he wouldn't have been able to take that shot because he would've been out of position.

"Though angrily denouncing Donaghy's actions, Mathis referenced the pivotal shot in Game 6 of the 1998 Finals by Jordan against the Utah Jazz that gave the Bulls their sixth and final championship in the Jordan era. Many observers maintain Jordan committed an offensive foul, but it was not called because of Jordan's stature and reputation.

"Refereeing has gone downhill," said Mathis, who runs the Mathis Foundation that works with and supplies scholarships for foster kids in Cincinnati. "Remember when Jordan hit that winning shot? I'm going to give you exactly what the commentators said: 'What a great move by Michael.' Was that a great move or was that an offensive foul? There was no question it was a push-off. No buts about it. The only buts you can have is, 'Well, it was Michael Jordan.' That was a defining moment.

"The video tape would never lie," Mathis said. "Here's what could have happened. The referee makes the call and it's, 'No, no. How could he do that? It was Michael Jordan.' "

That is all I'm saying...there was definitely a push off. Jordan was always one of the sneakiest players in the game, but nobody...NOBODY benefited from superstar calls like Jordan. The shot itself was a great shot, Russell himself said Jordan hits that shot anyway. But Russell did say he was pushed by Jordan.

Of course Russell would say he was pushed. What's he going to say? "Umm...yeah I tripped over myself and that's why I couldn't contest the shot." No, of course not. Whether or not he was pushed or not, he's going to say he was pushed. But, like he said, Jordan's making that shot anyway.

Either way, it wasn't a huge shove like Reggie Miller's in the ECF. It was a light shove at best imo, otherwise Jordan doesn't maintain the balance that he had. But I guess that's just my opinion.

I think if he fully extends his elbow on the push...it's called. He didn't fully extend it, looks like he tapped him.

yeah... Jordan made contact, but that's not a push.

Jordan must be extremely strong to make a guy fly like that after making contact with the back of his leg.

A lot of acting going on... Nothing new in the NBA.

THANK YOU!!!!!

Dude is only arguing this point to justify lebronze and all the calls he gets. Like some calls Jordan may have gotten, justifies not being able to breathe on "The King".

Nah man, Jordan knocked him on his ass, laughed at him, beat Russell's mother then drained a 17 footer on him.

Rush makes an excellent point. It was a push-off by Michael but I don't know if something like that really warrants a call in the post-season. The elbow wasn't fully extended and it looked to me that Russell either was off-balance initially or he just acted on the play. The referees couldn't see the minor push anyway and that was apart of the beauty of the play.

As Isiah Thomas said, Jordan had all of the tricks and you had to overcome that if you were going to beat him.

There was no push, just Russell's forward momentum carrying him while Jordan had contact with his back.

Like I said in my earlier post, if Jordan had pushed him with as much force as it seemed like he did, then he would not be in balance for the shot. If anything, they should've called a travel on Jordan because he did reset his feet before the shot without taking another dribble.
