Bullshit officiating tonight....the Hawks looked a step slow at times -- their passing got worse as the game went on -- and the PP sucked again tonight, despite one pp goal.

Bolland...

.333% on faceoffs (6w-12L)..and where the **** was he going on that tying goal? He hit Cogliano behind the net, then just leaves/chases the puck...when Hjarll is already pressuring the puck. He leaves Oduya as the only defender down low.

Craw deserved better.

Fasth did well not giving up any rebounds on those shots in OT.

The lackluster PP is why the Hawks didn't win this. How many times do they have to see their point shots go wide or blocked before they realize that it doesn't work too well? Crawford with a couple of flashy glove saves, I like where he's at and I see no reason why he couldn't keep up this level of play for the rest of the season. Still undefeated in regulation and points in every 13 games to start the season. Put this behind them and move on. As long as they keep collecting points, it's good.

It's all Bolland's fault!

I don't think it was lackluster...at times they had really good movement on it

ANA did well blocking shots/taking away the lanes...and when they did get the shot through, Fasth did not give any rebounds....gotta give credit to him

No goals for almost 4 minutes of 4 on 3 PP against one of the worst PKing teams is unacceptable, considering the material the Hawks can put on the ice. They had good movement in the beginning of the seasons, but now they just stand around and are content in passing and taking shots from the point that rarely even go through or look for the back-door pass that every opposite unit knows to look out for. No creativity, no pace and no movement.

When the 3 pk'ers play that tight - the only thing they're giving you is the perimeter and the shots from the point. There's no play to be created when they're playing like that - you have to take what they give you. The passing back and forth is opening the lane to get the shot through. When they did - there was no rebound. But if you have some magical plays that get them to break out of playing that tight...by all means share.

You're not going to go set picks and get an interference penalty - nor are should you force passes through no lanes and 3 sticks

My bad...the shut down legendary defensive center was lights out...33% on draws kicks ass! The un-natural center Shaw took 9 less draws, and only won 1 less than him.

the "un-natural center" Shaw has been a Center his whole career except last year in Chicago.

But I guess that doesn't really work with your rant.

Our PP is shit it needs drastic improvement. There is no imagination with it. Bolland does need to do better in the dot. Sure these things need improvement but UNDEFEATED IN REGULATION.

Nothing down low to make the Duck defenders collapse.

There were several times in the 3rd when the Ducks had 2 or 3 guys behind the rest of the team in the Hawks D zone. Donno, what was discussed, but that happening with regularity is going to cause a goal and is a team issue.

Ducks have one of the tightest boxes on the PK. With the Hawks PP style, there was little chance they would get the Ducks to stretch that box anyway.

my only issue was running four forwards on the PP in OT. Not only did Q put all of the eggs in one basket, but there was no booming shot from the point.

Actually - I know that. I was told that he wasn't a real center and his natural position was wing - not true.

So my rant on Bolland sucking on faceoffs - still works. Unless 33% is shut down center-esque
