Uptown baby!
He has very little history, actually. Before last night he only had 2 PIM this season...

Correct. He doesn't statistically rack up very many PIM at all each season. That's his "M.O." unfortunately. Many people have always sorta thought to themselves that he was at least a little dirty or sketchy but everything is always JUST straddling a fine line and with the uneven calls in the NHL his antics are usually bypassed.

Why was Bolland all the way on the left side of the ice...as the RW'er on the shift...leaving Bieksa that wide open?

Probably because the LW Saad, was in the right corner?

Thanks pmx for posting those videos, the guy definitely has history. That hit in the cup finals was absurd.

Jannik Hansen must need glasses, because I'm sure Canucks fans would say he "meant" to hit Clowe when he hit the ref, he ran into Ference on accident, and tried to reach for the puck against Hossa.

The problem is that I don't think any of that counts in the hearing as history, unless he faced disciplinary action for them.

Sorry, right corner = right corner near the blueline... I fucked that up. Either way he was on the right side... as a LW.

I mean if you really want to complain about it....

[attachment=82:rwlwc.jpg]

LW is Saad, C is Toews, and RW is Bolland. Pretty obvious that the LW, Saad, is on the right side there... but he's playing his position perfectly? The fact is, who cares who the RW and LW are... Saad saw a chance to force a turnover so he went for it even though it wasn't on his side. Why didn't Toews and Saad win that puck battle? Then it gets out of the zone and there is no goal. Bolland swooped in to help them out but it was too late. Shit happens... you just like to pin everything on Bolland any chance you get.

So where do you think Saad should be there? That's the correct side for the LW to be on. He's between Edler and the puck. Toews losses inside postion.

Bolland has zero reason to go to that side of the ice. Zero. He is to stay in the high slot and hold his spot.. If anything..go to closer to the net if Sedin walked in...With 2 forwards on their side of the ice already and the Dman (not sure if that's Keith or Oduya) and Hjarll in the low slot...all other 4 players are in their responsible area.

He leaves his spot completely and Bieksa has all the time he wants to walk in and score.

But if that's picking on him...I guess it is as "shit happens" or oh well. I guess it's Q's fault ultimately for taking the foot off the gas in the third period..whatever that means.

LOL...I meant that kind of tongue in cheek

Haha, o alright. I mean I can honestly see that argument from Canucks fans. The guy hasn't been suspended and other than a lot of complete bullshit little things and a couple big shots that went unnoticed, he could be considered clean in the dirtiest sense of the word.

So the correct side for a LW to be on, is the right side of the ice? As long as you can tell me that. Because I was always under the impression that a LEFT winger takes the LEFT side of the ice so technically, him and Bolland should be reversed.... might as well call Bolland the LW, because that's what he is in this situation, but keep going. I'm just giving you shit anyway, lol.

No doubt Bolland blew some coverage, but so did everyone else on that line. Oduya let that Canuck screen Emery without even touching him, blew that pass. Toews lost the puck battle, Saad didn't help either.

Saad is on the Left boards in his own zone the entire shift. That is the left side (coming out of his zone) as I know it.

honestly the team went to shit when hossa went out anyways. not sure if it was loss of focus or just being without hossa and seabs in the third but it wasnt pretty hockey at a lot if points. could smell that third goal coming to be honest. it all took care of itself in the shoot out. and hey schnieder played really well also soooo for what its worth he kind of won the canucks a point more so than the hawks concieding it.

Wow I am a Special person, haha. I was trying to be a dickhead and mess with you since you're always giving Bolland shit, but I failed lol. Carry on... I don't even know how my brain fucked that up so badly. (waits for goalie jokes)

As much as I agree with you, I think that entire line was bad to begin with. I know why Bolland was on that line, in case Toews is tossed from the face-off, but realistically he isn't a winger to begin with. Never played there... ever. So maybe Sharp would have been a better option?
