To that reporter, thanks Captain Obvious. The Bears intentions were made clear immediately upon trading Justin Fields.

Hmm, how many times in that video is he under center? Someone will have some learning to do.
How often is mahomes under center? Maybe like 10-15% of the time?NFL Teams Moving Out From Under Center, Riding Shotgun
As NFL offenses continue to evolve, teams are riding the shotgun formation, and in big numbers. Rarely anymore do QBs line up under center.www.the33rdteam.com
Even his "weaknesses" are better than the other QBs in this draft and in recent years. It's legit crazy to think about.Clearly the best pocket passer in this draft, as well.
Hell, even if it was only this part of his game we were getting, and he didn't also have the creativity/elusiveness+vision/arm angles/etc, he'd still be the best prospect in this draft and best since Luck.
Do "teams" run as frequently as the Bears? Re look at the new OC's offense in Seattle... the majority of the between tackle runs are from under center.NFL Teams Moving Out From Under Center, Riding Shotgun

We have no idea how much the Bears will run since we have a new OC.Do "teams" run as frequently as the Bears? Re look at the new OC's offense in Seattle... the majority of the between tackle runs are from under center.
Spoiler alert they're taking a QB and the way people are hyping up Jayden Daniels and JJ McCarthy I'm guessing it won't be Drake Maye. That tweet was more about Washington than the Bears.
I was just going to comment on that. Anyone think he may have a bit of an adjustment issue seeing that NFL offenses are direct snaps under center majority of the time?It seems like the highlights of CW are from him taking snaps from the gun.
I've had Daniels ahead of Maye since early December. Loads more experience and a better natural thrower of the ball in my opinion. His frame definitely worries me. Bone density specifically.Spoiler alert they're taking a QB and the way people are hyping up Jayden Daniels and JJ McCarthy I'm guessing it won't be Drake Maye.
The majority of the time you say? Did he get drafted into the 1990's?I was just going to comment on that. Anyone think he may have a bit of an adjustment issue seeing that NFL offenses are direct snaps under center majority of the time?
I like the chart that shows kc ran shotgun 79%, Philly 83% and Baltimore 95%. That's 3 good running teams too.
