And again - before you go rant and piss yourself, I like Campbell on the Hawks - I always have/never bashed him - I think 7.1mil is alot for him and it was the "market" at the time...doesnt mean it was alot. No ONE WANTED TO COME HERE FA. You stand on your box and preach to people about Phoenix and then throw this garbage out here? God couldn't have brought competent UFA's to this organization until the Death of Bill Wirtz. So again Tallon was behind the 8 ball automatically.
You specifically brought up Barker, which is why I said that. You put Campbell out there as well, I thought suggesting it was a bad move.
That was his FIRST good UFA move IMO, and it was because the team was WINNING! That was the first time he was ABLE to entice a player here, and in some sense he still probably over paid. We'll see if they Win the Cup, because if they do it will not be an over payment.
