I wanted to carry this over. I am having a sign made up to bring to at least one game

in the WCF's. I wonder if others would be interested in joining me. I will even give the sign to others to bring to games that I am not present at.

Love this idea; One of my next blogs is going to be an analysis of this roster and how Dale Tallon is mostly to thank. :D

Sounds like he's going to try to rebuild Florida now.

Hopefully FLA will get the DT that traded for Versteeg and Sharp...

And not the one that overpaid Aucoin, Cullimore, Barnaby, Brown....

And Vorobiev, and they all still have potential.

I am having a sign made and if I get it ahead of time I will ship it to you to share at Friday's game since I can not make it. I will be there Sunday though and we could meet up and you hand it back off.

John wrote a great article on the main page with this exact topic, I thought it was an excellent read:
The McDonough and Wirtz stuff is cute. They put home games on television (what a bold decision!), planned the fan convention, established relationships with local rinks and youth programs, and brought the Winter Classic to Chicago. Don’t get me wrong, that’s all great stuff. But would any of it matter without a good product on the ice? The answer is no.
I guess we'll have to see if the GM of the Panthers will have to over pay stars just to play there and or even have them CONTEMPLATE playing there.

Hopefully Pulford won't be pulling strings in Tallon's first full year in Florida. He certainly was here in Chicago.

And FYI Jim maybe you haven't noticed but Sopel has earned EVERY DIME of that contract since Campbell went down and came back from injury.

Spacek, who was leaving anyway, was what it cost for Salmanohands.

Arkipov was a stop gap Center. Our team sucked then, as you have repeatedly stated in the Save the Coyotes thread.

So...he didnt sign Aucoin, Lapointe, Cullimore, Barnaby and Brown...etc....because that was Pulford.

And he didnt sign Huet, Campbell, Hossa and Kopecky - or screw up the Barker and Versteeg offers - since that was McD making a "splash" and trying to sabotage DT.

What exactly DID he do then....just the good things and the draft?

LOL!

Aucoin, Lapointe, Cullimore, Brown, and Barnaby were the FIRST year out of the lockout. You can bet your ass Pulford was there. Amazingly after that year Pulford was NOT calling any shots behind the "rookie" Tallon. You explain to me why since you appear to know so much. I'll wait.

Campbell was 100% Dale and maybe you would like to explain to me how close this team was to being OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS without him, and how they've been 8-2 since his return? I'll wait.

Huet was 100% Mcdonough and oh boy what would we have had without the Huet signing. I think you might have Miller with Niemi as the back up. Just coincidence Miller re upped his contract a few weeks after Huet signed here. Yea I know.

He screwed up Barker, or Barker was a poor pick in a very weak draft? Which is it? Since Barkers ankle injury in Norfolk he was NEVER right.

Tallon admitted to his mistakes and thats more on the ORGANIZATION for hiring someone with NO GM experience than it was on Tallon. And you bet your ASS Pulford had a LOT to do with those signings the year out of the lockout.

Mistakes were far out weighed by the good. And IF this team wins the Cup, it will be PRIMARILY because of Tallon. If they don't win the Cup, and have massive CAP problems you can look no further than Mcdonough with Huet, and all the RFA problems.

You always bring this up but have no physical proof. Why is McD the reason the contracts didn't go out? He's not the GM.

I've explained it many times. If you didn't read the Mora article or the Boston Globe article that's not my fault.

My job is not to enlighten you or make you smarter. You do that on your own.

Mcdonough needed a reason to fire the guy who just brought his team to the WCF's for the first time in 17 years.

Proof Trev. LOL. You have a lot to learn.

Ok...then you tell me, who were DT's exact signings.

Where did I ever say I didnt like Campbell on the team? I'll wait for you to find that. In any post I've ever said. I'll wait.........a long time.

Not sure where I bashed Barker, but ok.

And, as I then said...if you open your eyes...that those were Pulford's signings - as you pointed out. And Huet was McD's - youve made it clear 1,000,000,000 times that Miller was coming here (and, like me never saying I didnt like Campbell, show me one post I ever liked Huet coming here....I'll wait a long time for that one too)......

Who did DT ever or exactly sign as a FA in his time as a GM here?

In all your holier than thou speeches, I have yet to see anyone DT has signed as a FA where the money/years were good. And again - before you go rant and piss yourself, I like Campbell on the Hawks - I always have/never bashed him - I think 7.1mil is alot for him and it was the "market" at the time...doesnt mean it was alot. And it seems that he was the only FA signed.

No ONE WANTED TO COME HERE FA. You stand on your box and preach to people about Phoenix and then throw this garbage out here? God couldn't have brought competent UFA's to this organization until the Death of Bill Wirtz. So again Tallon was behind the 8 ball automatically.

You specifically brought up Barker, which is why I said that. You put Campbell out there as well, I thought suggesting it was a bad move.

That was his FIRST good UFA move IMO, and it was because the team was WINNING! That was the first time he was ABLE to entice a player here, and in some sense he still probably over paid. We'll see if they Win the Cup, because if they do it will not be an over payment.
