Their looking at 3 guys. I forgot their name but one is a pitcher and a position player.

Bubba is the position player (outfielder) and pitcher. I don't think there was another guy who was both a pitcher and a position player

Where did you hear/read that?

Its possible that they will but I wouldnt assume that. Washington has a lot of money tied up in signing Harper and Strasburg.

It was on MLBTR a couple days ago.

Heyman has the Cubs taking almost 19 year old RHP Archie Bradley.

Its gonna be interesting. I really hope we take the shot on him.

It looks like he is gonna go to Nebraska anyway he reminds me of Jake Locker who got drafted pretty high in baseball but choose to go to college. I think he goes top 7 IMO.

Still we should take him if he is there.

If he goes to play football we get the pick next year too.

KC or Washington are taking him, it is almost certain at this point.

Thats what I read KC past on the home town kid(albert) and they wont do it again thats whats rumored. We really needed a prospect like Bubba a Carl Crawford/ Drew Stubbs type player with more power would be so nice.

I think you should be allowed to trade your draft picks like football why cant you?

You might be able to when the new CBA comes around. So maybe next year.

Possibilities for next CBA:
Expanded replay
Expanded playoffs
International Draft
Draft Pick Trading

First 2 are likely, last 2 are a but more remote.

Say we end up with SS Francisco Lindor... and all 4 of Barney, Castro, Lindor, and Vitters live up to hype... then we could have:

1B: Vitters
2B: Barney
SS: Lindor
3B: Castro

Basically, the only time I think Castro should be moved to a new position is when we have another stud SS that would play better D and be effective.

Castro will never be a heavy enough hitter to allow him to move to one of the corner spots.

True, but how I see it, if Lindor gets power as he seems like he may and he's manning short, it's the same thing as Lindor being an average player at 3rd and Castro being a good player at Short, except that the better defense (Lindor) would be at Short defensively.

But I totally see what you say and agree, I was just throwing it out there. Because I don't want to draft someone in the 1st round just to trade them, and definitely don't want to trade Castro.

KC or Washington might take Starling but its kind of risky due to this being a deep draft and next years draft is likely less deep. This makes it hurt a lot more if they leave this draft empty-handed.

Starling has 40 40 potential no way he drops IMO. I think you give him a lot of money and i mean a lot and he signs.

Pirates on the clock!

Mariners passing on Rendon pushes a bat down, which helps.
