Blackhawks have 6 picks in the 1st 100 (1 1st #18, 3 2nd #36, #43, #48 , 2 3rd #70, #79). What would you like to see them do?

I am sure HF50 as written a 2000 word essay on the O-boards about all the options, complete with random capitalizations, misspellings and horrible punctuation. Just to make sure that Bowman knows who to pick. We all know the disaster that ensued by picking Kane instead of Turris, against the sane opinion of HF50.

Pick good players. Honestly I don't follow juniors and college hockey enough to know anyone so yeah just get good players. I am not a good draft guy...which explains why I traded my picks away in NHL video games.

According to Leo2, Fifty hasn't seen any of the prospects play.

  1. Portland Timbers

Honestly...Center depth, and possible another goalie. I doubt any D-man out there can hit the pros immediately.

Mark Scheifele is a center projected to go around our pick. Could be worth while. Seems the past two years, we have drafted "projects" that were expected to go in the second round. a mid pick may help us get a centerman for the future.

also, Scheifele has size at 6'2. still needs to put on some muscle, but would be good to have a guy in the middle who isn't small

plus he put up 75 points on an AWFUL Colts team.

Trade out 1st rounder and Kane for Turris!!!

I wouldn't mind them trying to trade up somehow although 18 isn't that bad. This team needs to start developing some centers so yah...i am talking out of my ass because in no way have I looked at the draft prospects this year yet besides a very few I know of.

I am with you here. The Hawks did a lot of D man drafting last year, and for gods sake, we need centers. Either draft them or trade a pick and maybe _________ for an established center or a prospect that is damn near NHL ready.

I still wanted to see Bill Sweatt here.

I actually heard this draft is very deep, so we'll see...

They just signed two Centers, former draft picks, to the Hogs I believe. Not to say they couldn't use more prospects. Bill Sweatt is too small. We now have Ben Smith. Can't have too many small players.

Still, a wise man once told me you can never have too much center depth.

Seriously I think a center should be first..then another netminder in case Salak, Carruth, and Simpson are Never-will-be's. From there, defense.

My $.02.

I agree. This team has lacked depth at Center for quite some time. It just cost us in the playoffs starting the series with the Canucks with basically a #1 and #4 Center and nothing in between. That said the best way to get what we need at Center is through UFA/RFA signing. Because it's a 2nd line Center they'll need experiece IMO. I'd still draft a Center in my top 1-2 but if there is a gritty winger there I might go #1 still.

They'll also need some goalie depth. Not sure whats out there as I haven't followed the prospects in the draft much, but Toivenenn and Richards are not quite the "depth" we need.

Knowing they just signed two Centers for Rockford is a good thing.

And now with my .02 cents and your .02 cents, we have .04 Cents.
