You gotta love how this kid sees that 5 hole. Much like Toews in that department. That's an eye for the game and heads up hockey.

I really am excited about this pick.

Zemgus Girgensons from Latvia. JK. You will hear his name next year. Plays for the Fighting Saints here in Dubuque.

Phillip Danault is an interesting pick. Def a prospect in the works but the skills are there and he also is a character player and one who gives it all on the ice and is hard working..that's Hawk hockey.

Good future pick..will be a few years though.

Went off the boards a little their Stan.

I know we don't really need another small player, but man i would love to see rocco in a hawks uniform.

It's the nhl video game player in me lol.

Can't wait to hear the Campbell move...craziness!

If he does move, I think people need to recognize the classiness of Campbell to waive his no trade to a market like Florida.

Wasn't he in those Hangover movies?

Not sure. He has some definite skills and he likes contact. Another interesting guy is John Gaudreau. Very little at 5'8" and that is generous, but has incredible hands. Could be drafted this year.

I can't believe we right now have 14 million in cap space with what 5 spaces really to fill? Did I get that right?

Before today we had 12 mil in cap space (64 mil cap) with 15 signed. I think we have 16 now with 15 signed? 7.1 soupy - 3.1 Olezcsdszsdfsc

Saad is one of those kids that dropped and people forgot about. He should have been a 17-30 1st round pick. Same for John Gibson whom I really wanted, but Anaheim got... so I'm not complaining.

HOW Stan got him that deep in the 2nd round is beyond me, but that's a steal at that pick.

But Clendening.... Stan could have waited on that one. He's got potential, but from what his stats read, he's a tad undisciplined (I think it was 80 PIM in 36 games). Hopefully I'll see him in Prospects Camp to really see what he's like.

Either way, Stan is having a good second day as well.

13th pick of the 4th round (104 overall) to the Flames. If he grows at all, he definitely has a shot.
