That's sorta what I'm getting at. He's not playing like a #5 right now but the dominant seasons of Hjalmarsson/Oduya has made put him in that role. But Leddy is finally starting to blossom into the kind of player the Hawks were hoping for when they traded for him. (For Cam Barker, no less. The Wild are dumb). I still like Hammer's upside as a relatively young player, so I could see Oduya being moved in the offseason, re-sign Leddy with that vacated cap space and bump him up to the Top 4, then have Roszival and someone else as your third D pairing in 2013-14. Wouldn't surprise me if that someone was Adam Clendening.

I've had a chance to watch Clendening a little and I think he still has another year or two but definitely an exciting future ahead of him. Would love it if I'm wrong, but I just don't think he will be ready next year and especially in a #5/6 role. Johns is a player (in the future) that I am a fan of. Could definitely be a bruiser who can skate for the Blackhawks. Would look good on the blue line. Don't know if there is anyone ready to step in over the next year or so though.

Nice thing is...Blackhawks prospects are starting to shape up in a lot of ways. Plenty of depth and even a few guys who have top end potential. Would be nice to see them grab a goalie or two this draft that are highly touted because that is definitely the one big weak spot right now.

Exactly, so need for obsession over it. Hawks have moved on, he's just another guy. Obsessing over Campbell, Kopecky, Eager, Byfuglien etc. is bad enough, but Havlat wasn't even with that team, so not even the Cup Team obsession explains it.

Sorry, it's a fact. It's one thing after another with him.

If this shit keeps going with injuries, they have to seriously consider buying his ass out.

I mean the guy takes a semi decent hit & he's hurt.

Agreed. But I can't stop obsessing about Ladd. I check the Jets boxscore constantly. The Hawks lost so much in
the "purge" after the cup. But he was one guy I thought they could've kept.

They could of until the offer sheet nightmare... Yet still probably only for that season. I think he would of been gone.

Damn Washington Comcast feed kept telling me I'm rooting for the Caps. Jerks!

To the Havlat focus, I'm more fond of the 08-09 team than the cup team memory wise. Just the energy and feel from that team exceeding expectations and being on the air was awesome... less of the bandwagon collective than the cup year also makes it ring more nostalgically
