Emery and Roszival are the only ones not in "camp" as of Saturday.

Bob McKenzie is reporting that Bolland has a good chance at starting the year off as the 2c. Would most likely leave Kruger as the 3c.

Yeah here is the tweet

“@TSNBobMcKenzie: A few random camp notes: CHI would like to see centre David Bolland in more offensive role. May start with Sharp and Kane as linemates.”

Ah, ok.

Any, per Sassone (not sure if official or just today):
Toews center, Hossa and Carcillo wing
Bolland center, Kane and Sharp wing
Shaw center, Stalberg and Bickell wing
Kruger center, Bollig and Frolik wing

Mayers seems to be the odd man out in that group. Interesting that Shaw is centering the 3rd line and Kruger the 4th.

I'm not a huge fan of Bolland at 2c. I think he is more valuable at 3c and his offensive game (in my opinion) isn't going to benefit Kane/Sharp that much. Bolland seems to get tunnel vision on once he gets the puck and with Kane/Sharp that is the last thing he should do.

It'll be interesting to see how everything plays out, especially with all the new players in camp.

carcillo on the 1st line? cmon now.

Started their last year, didn't he?

That line was effective, I'm thinking they did this to help protect Toews and Hossa after concussions (same line now, can't think of another reason). Seemed that with CarBomb there last year, Toews and Kane weren't being hit as much.

That is a loaded statement. You can draw that conclusion by just thinking that carcillo is tough and stuffz. He should NOT be on the first line. Carcillo wont be able to kamikaze to protect players as he is probably 1 suspension away from being kicked out of the league. He is also coming off of a major injury as well. He just isnt a top 3 player. If you want to believe he is and always buy into chicago teams like a sheep, by all means keep going at it as you are good at that.

I wasn't advocating it at all, re-read what I posted, I was just hypothesizing as to why.

I just don't like splitting up Kane and Stalberg. Them two show some good chemistry together last year, and even better when they were lined with Toews or Hossa

I agree. I also think Stalberg is a likely candidate to be traded at mid season because he is a UFA and the salary cap is going down next year. He will likely ask more than he is worth on the Blackhawks when you put him with a Kane/Toews (any of the big 4) and could be a nice trade piece for a rebuilding team who has a quality vet to trade. The only issue is that with a shortened season, a lot of teams will likely think they have a shot even towards the trade deadline.
