If they're revocable then the Sox can just pull him back and retain him, si?

Yeah if I remember they are called optional waivers, and it is for guys with a certain amount of service time but still have options left. I don't think he has enough service time to refuse the optional assignment, but I am just guessing at this point.

Jeff Keppinger would be nice.

There are about 30 teams saying that right now is the deal. He is a real bench guy to have around, and just about every team could use him. Interested to see how much he is able to net in this new market environment.

Sox need a guy like Keppinger not Johnson.

Power isn't the Sox problem. Making more contact is.

he is more than a bench guy.

115 games is more than a sample size to go along with 418 PAs to have a slash line of: 9 HRs .325/.367 w/.806 OPS.

He had a very good season, but he does have a pretty solid track record. I think you are far more likely to see the low 700 OPS guy then an 800 OPS guy that he was this year. He could be a "starter", but I think he is more in the mold of the guy who finds three or four starts a week at various spots.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
Beckham will be the starter because he's cheap.
