The firing of Juan Castillo as the Eagles defensive coordinator has generated a lot of response from around the football world.

Former Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel is one of those weighing in. Samuel was traded to the Falcons this offseason with reports after his departure indicating that coach Andy Reid believed Samuel’s play was in steep decline. On Twitter Tuesday, Samuel wrote “ain’t no decline over here” just after another tweet that shared his thoughts about Reid’s decision to shake up the coaching staff. Let’s just say that Samuel thinks the wrong guy has been asked to turn in his keys to the office.

Sometimes you have to blame yourself. You can't try and always point the figure at someone else

Reid might have fired the offensive line coach he chose to coach the defense, but he won’t have many other places to point the finger if the Eagles don’t start winning games. And that will likely mean that Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie decides to start doing some finger pointing of his own.

Yeah I hate the whole "most talented team in the league" bullshit line. How many years did we listen to the media say that same bullshit about the Chargers? Now it's the Eagles? GFTO with this nonsense. I don't care how good your roster looks on paper. On the field where it matters they look like hot garbage. So obviously they're not as talented as you think they look on paper.

When your dline that is supposed to have great pass rushers gets no pressure you get called a horrid DC.

It was an odd coach move but as soon as they fix their player issues at linebacker the league realized that wide 9 is a one trick pony.

He should learn to catch shotgun snaps with his face.

If you actually watched the game, you would see the center snapping the ball early as Vick was changing the play (when the Lions recovered the fumble).

Let's ignore the fact that the o-line is decimated with injuries, with 7th round picks being replaced by 7th round picks.

Or does the "bad o-line excuse" only work when certain players aren't doing well?
