For sure man. Hawks need defense way, way, way more than they need offense.

But there's still a part of me that's going crazy in hopes that they sign Parise ... just because it'd be awesome to watch.

I hope it is neither.

Carle is going to get some ridiculous offers just because of how shallow the free agent pool is. Whatever he signs for I get the feeling he will disappoint and not live up to the contract. Not saying he is a terrible player but just won't be worth it.

Semin is not what the Blackhawks need. He takes to many games off. He has amazing talent but no heart.

Speculation seems to be that parise is trying to convince suter to go to minny and if he cant, parise will go back to NJ and suter will go to detroit

The more I think about it I'd have spent all our remaining cap room on signing Erik Johnson and Parenteau, or Johnson and Semin, or Johnson and Pyatt and I think we'd have been a much better squad.

Johnson is HUGE, he's only 24 years old, he is a man's man of a defender, he can dish a little, and he'd have been a top 4 defender immediately. Pyatt could have played on any line from the 2 to the 4, and we'd have been immediately better on both ends of the ice with those two big kids.
