By the way, #Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman shot down any rumors of Dave Bolland being traded. #Canucks

I'm sure you'd be weeping if the overrated clown got traded.
Joe doesnt know the difference between overrated and overpaid...

alot of the times players are overpaid because they are infact overrated.
I'd think Stalberg and Hjalmarsson are better trade bait right now, anyway.
The sheer fact that this thread hasnt even had a rumor posted in 5 days is a bad sign heading into this season. lol
Bad sign? But we have Oshitya/Brookstank & Crawf rebounds! -HawkPoster

Why this summer has been a lucky one for the Blackhawks thus far. Still plenty of improvements to be made, and Bowman is still on the hook, just lucky for Bowman, the Blackhawks, and the Fans...other Central Division teams have done worse.
I agree with the general consensus that the central has weakened, but at the end of the day, the 2012-2013 Blackhawks are only a marginally improved team from the 2011-2012 team. While yes, we have a great chance of making the playoffs, this team isnt a stanley cup contender currently. Another defenseman and a big forward then maybe...i want stanley cups, not just central division titles (as Im sure you and all blackhawks fans do as well)
Nice article!

Yea, very minimal improvement from the Blackhawks so far. Their biggest "improvement" probably comes from teams like Detroit/Nashville really looking a whole lot weaker this year than the last (At the current moment).
Exactly...improvement by opponent weakening is great, but not always wise to bank on. I would feel much more secure with another dman and a forward added prior to the season

I actually think the Blackhawks defense has some nice depth with the way it stands.
A 2C or a "power forward" would definitely be nice.
