This is most likely the increase that makes me pull the plug. 22 years of holding tickets, and these increases over the last 4 seasons have just been way too much for what I am willing to spend to go see games live for the season. Considering I know enough people around us who usually can't make a game or two and will sell to me for face, just might be enough for me to get my live fix.

I was VERY short of 22 years. The closest I can come is that when I moved to Chicago, the first two "Chicago" things I purchased was my season tickets and a Rutuu sweater.

With that in mind, because ditching the seats were so hard and I barely had mine compared to yours...

It truly was the best thing I could do. I took the money that I was spending on the tiks and put it aside in a pure, make-no-money-pure-liquid slush fun account that I use for other things, as well as hockey. This way, even if the Hawks do go to the Cup Final again, or I want to see these premier games, I have the cash to buy them on MY terms.

It was my Dad who helped me... he was a lifetime Cleveland Browns tik holder. I got to watch some of the best hockey, live in "my" seats, with the team I wanted to watch and the team that got me interested in hockey. I got to see and be a part of that experience, which I would never trade and cannot be taken away from me.

So if you have to ditch them, what helped me was that it was THEIR choice, not mine...

They cant take this away, no matter how "they" make it about money...

P.S. Yes, I couldnt touch it as I didnt want to tarnish Her with my own imperfect DNA.

P.S.S. It also does make it MUCH harder for me to get laid without Playoff seats... :icon-smile:
