I wanted to start a thread so we can discuss Olympic hockey. 2010 still hurts because of how long we had to wait for another opportunity. The Blackhawks have won 2 Stanley Cups since we lost to Canada. But seeing Team USA win Gold would be something very special, we have bragging rights for 4 years. I feel like Kane is going to hit another level, and find another gear. He we come out a more proven leader once the Olympics are said and done. One of the bright spots out of 2010 was Toews showing the world how clutch he could be, leading Canada in points and scoring a Goal in the final. I still believe that Olympics tournament really helped his confidence take off to new heights and he matured faster than we ever thought. Lets go USA and win us the Gold

Team USA's chances largely rest on the shoulders of whoever is in net. They'll need superior goaltending if they hope to contend for gold.

If us wins gold, it will easily mask how crappy the bears and bulls season is. I feel we can do this. But Finland, Sweden, Russia, Canada, And we remember how hard it is to beat Switzerland with Jonas Hiller (dam they played us better than any team did in 2010 and we barely won 1-0)

I'm not the biggest fan of watching soccer - but if you refuse to watch the world cup...literally sit down and watch a handful of games, you really are missing out. If you have and it's not your cup of tea, that's different -- but it's pretty friggin' exhilarating.

Russia is the home team. Can't underestimate how much of a boost that is for them ... and they're pretty good without any boosts.

I like USA's chances.

It would be something if Kane can get best forward along with Toews already accomplishing such a feat.

13-3!!!

Given the unsanitary environment for the Olympians, media, and tourists, Russia has a big advantage in everything

So what are everyone's plans for Olympic hockey watching, considering all the games are early morning faceoffs here in the states?

I'm torn between watching on DVR delay or waking up early and utilizing some afternoon naps.
