are you kidding me? a third post by the dutch this time in extra time? costa rica is going to take this pn penalty kicks their luck today is outstanding.

im kind of cheering for costa rica in these p kicks now even though they dont deserve the win. dutch subbed in their penalty kick specialist goalie. might kick them in the ass. much like hockey a cold goalie isnt always a good thing p kicks or not.

dutch deserved it and i guess the goalie sub was brilliant.

costa rica can be proud to get to kicks but they had a shit load of luck. dutch were the better team ont he day hands down. makes for two really good semis.

germany

brazil

messi

diving robben

my brackets were germany/dutch so i have to stick with that as a prediction.

Navas was pretty darn good, no matter the fact he lost tonight. Holding the Dutch to 0 goals, crossbars be damned, is pretty damn good. Navas was awesome today, reminded me a lot of Howard today.
That Costa Rican match was great. No way were they winning in kicks though. They were lucky all game is

i didnt like the sub goalie for the dutch getting in the faces of the kickers but it worked out i guess. i was told never to beak off to the guys taking the p kicks when i was playing keeper as it just gives them more insentive to strike the ball harder. being a keeper on p kicks is hard enough as it is. i was a little taken back by how the costa ricans, and the dutch for that matter, were placing all the kicks low and mostly to the left of the keepers. no one really challenged high. my fav is when a kicker puts it right down the middle knowing the keeper is going to pick a side and dive. thats the cockiest of all p kicks.
