which is why you have to give Memphis credit...they are still going to be in the playoffs in the western conference, probably a 5 seed. meanwhile, the bulls are struggling to get the 8th spot and a quick 1st round exit from LeBron. Joeger >>> Hoiberg

well this same roster managed to make the playoffs each of the last few years, then hoiberg shows up. I don't think these guys suddenly forgot how to play basketball. its that hoiberg is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole

thats a testament to how good Thibs was, he managed to overachieved with this roster

Hoiberg certainty hasn't been good but its not his fault Gasol can't defend a chair and Rose & Jimmy can't figure out how to play together....not to mention how this team doesn't have a starting caliber small forward

missing the playoffs is the best thing for this team, we finally got to see what this team truly is and how incompetent the front office is for thinking this was suitable team that could compete for a championship

and no they never meshed well i don't know where you pulled that from...at first you could point to lack of playing time together but at this point its just not a good fit

Before this season, they barely even played together, but they have had plenty of time this season and the result is one seems to flourish without the other, and when they both play together, it seems more often than not one plays like crap and the other is good. Rarely have they both had good games (They have had a few, but they're are not many of them).

its clear that rose and butler cannot co - exist. they both need the ball in their hands to be effective. so the question you have to ask yourself at this point is, would you rather build this team around rose or butler? I think most would rather build around butler for many reasons, if you prefer to build around rose that's your opinion and that's fine....but don't try and act like the 2 of them have played well together or even are capable of it

Jimmy's been pretty annoying this year. His comments and attitude are in contrast from what people loved about him in the first place. Not to mention his defense has taken a major hit. Neither Rose nor Butler are #1s on a championship team. Trade Jimmy for the best package and let Rose walk in 2017. Use the cap space on one of the deepest classes in a long time. Bulls would be stacked with space and young talent from the Jimmy trade. Blow this fucking thing up already.

They need to get the best that they can for Rose. He has got no future with the Bulls as far as I am concerned. Make a clean break and start things over again. Dump Gasol also. Both of those guys are SOFT players. That the pure simple fact of it. This team has no future with Gar/Pax and Hoiberg. They need a housecleaning top to bottom. Clear as much cap space as you can and sign a couple of decent young players with some kind of a future. This has been an abortion of team management for two straight years and it needs to end.

Durant or anybody worth anything aren't coming here to a team that's rebuilding if we blow it up. They're going to want to be on a team that's on the cusp of greatness. A Bulls team that blows it up isn't gonna cut the mustard. The Celtics have a young team worth looking into not the Bulls.

That is true but they really do not have any real choices other than blowing it up. Once again, Rose is talking about his son and getting his millions in free agency. I think that Rose has made it clear what his strategy always has been. His strategy was simple and self-serving. He cared nothing for the Bulls and this season. Not a whit. All that he wanted to do is to get back into some semblance of shape and to sit whenever he had a tweak anywhere. This was one big rehabbing strategy and nothing else. Next year, he will be playing balls out for a contract, to "get him some". Completely self centered and in love of himself.

Watch next year. Butler will be pissed as Rose dominates all of the ball at the point. Next year will be likely a low point in Bulls basketball, particularly if they leave Hoiberg in "charge". The soap opera that is the Reinny run teams is really, really obvious.

If we're going to rebuild then we need to keep Jimmy & Portis. Just go all in reworking the roster and getting younger. Don't bring back Jo, Pau,& MDJ. Use our lottery pick to upgrade Snell and pray the kings fall to 11 in the draft lottery. Right now it's our best option.
